Couple of days ago the rumor surfaced online that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is on the shortlist to play the villain in the new Batman film. Specifically that he will play the Riddler in Batman 3. But according to his rep that is not the case. The Wrap.com is reporting that "a representative for Gordon-Levitt has already denied the rumor, which is to be expected, considering David S. Goyer hasn't written the screenplay yet."
Batman 3 will likely start shooting next March, for a Summer 2012 release date. So there are a lot of work to be done before that. I guess will have to wait until Comic Con, I'm sure will hear some news there about the next installment.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt will star in the Inception, a new film directed by Chris Nolan which hits theatres this July.
