Let's not neglect the lighter side of the Knight!

Let's not neglect the lighter side of the Knight!

No other actor has proved us just how fit he is to bring us a Bruce Wayne we haven't seen since Michael Keaton.

Although Christian Bale has brought us an outstanding Dark Knight, i've always felt that the other side of his role was lacking. And the dark natural look in this actor's eyes shows us just how spectacular he would also be as Batman.

My Sketch of Adrian Pasdar as Batman!!!

i think he's a great Bruce Wayne but I can't picture him as Bats. Not that I can't see him as Bats just haven't seen a side of him that could be like Bats

I dont think he would do as good of job as Bale has but he could deffinately do the part justice. He's given his character on heroes a very believable dark quality and he's deffinately got enough experience under his belt to finally have a break out performance. GREAT CHOICE!!!!!

and for the record this guy's connection to pop culture and cult hits doesn't end with heroes. For those of you who have forgotten or just don't know he was the lead character in "Near Dark" with Bill Paxton and Lance Henrickson. That movie is a great vampire movie and has influenced many vampire movies since it was made in 1987.

Couldnt he play the millionaire...and Bale the bat? cool! best of both worlds.... I know...they would never do that but hey this is a wish list so why not? lol.. will we ever find the right person to balance it out?

I didn't like the thought of him when you first mentioned it months ago but i think he could do a good job. In all honesty the more i think about it the more i sway away from bale, he is a bit too over the top as batman at times, where as i dont see that happening with pasdar. Having said that if it aint broken dont fix it, Bale does rock and so long as he's still up for it then thats cool with me.

I actually think Bale does a better Wayne than Batman! That [frick]ing voice is just too over the top..but hes still great in the role. If however he decided not to return then i would be down with Pasdar

I know Myth, there's nothing i could ever do to make you swallow this one LOL :P

Well ManOfIron, give "Heroes" a shot like WeaponXX said :)

EvilEd2000- Exactly! Giving him the chance is all he needs i believe. And NONE of the actors who have played Batman had ever done a role similar to Batman. The Batside of the character is a unique role. Okay, maybe Equilibrium was slightly similar but still very different.

gestlmutant- Good points!!!

joslezio85- Doucheku is more of a Huntress than a Batgirl :)

theFACE- Very good point, if it ain't broken don't fix it. I've always loved Bale as Batman even though i don't "prefer" his version of Bruce. And if he'd stick around for more than i'd be totally down with it. But if they do intend to bring in the boy wonder aboard, then Pasdar would be a much better choice because he'd be able to portray the character's "fatherly figure" where i'm not convinced Bale could. Which is probably why he wouldn't even do the movie to begin with. IMO, if he had to cope with Robin, he'd suck like Kilmer did.

Rorschach01- Yeah, he is over the top which is why i don't think it'd be "the best in both worlds" as KeepitReal said to have pasdar as Bruce and Bale as Bats... kinda a la "The Shadow" with Alec as Cranston and Daniel as Shadow. As much as that movie sucked, it will remain a classic to me forever. And Bale might tone it down for the third one. He was decent in Begins and messed up in TDK so hopefully he'll do a better job in the third :)

Thanks for the compliments guys :)) Makes it all worth the work!

@Shaman: Hey dammit! I don't swallow anything... I mean... I don't spit... I mean... damn you and your trick wordplay. Your innuendo is at odds with my self image.

Thanks for all the compliments, huh. Well how do you like this one... YOU SUCK. *snickers mischievously whilst clasping hands together and grinding them with sinister intent, in a manner that eerily reminds you all of George W.*

ManOfIron- Actually, from what i saw of the third one (about half), it sucks as much as the second. But i mean you need to watch it to find out just how fitting Adrian Pasdar is to Batman/Bruce Wayne LOL. So don't go watch it thinking it's gold LOLOL :P

Myth- LMFAO!!! We're on a comic book movie web site... and your worried about your self image??? LMFAO!!!!!

Am I the only one that doesn't like batmans new costume? I thought the one in batman begins was alright, but in tdk there was soemthing about hte neck and head region that I just couldnt get over.
Shaman
Shaman - 4/24/2009, 8:08 AM
Actually no your not. I just drew this one cause i thought more people liked the new suit. I personnaly thought he looked better with the imovable wide and stiff neck in "begins" than this one. And in my opinion, the very best Batsuit was the first one with Keaton.

i hate it when they always go to turn their head and their whole body has to move. that just was kinda wack. but yeah sorry shaman, got to stick with bale on the bats. he hasnt shown us a reason he doesnt deserve to be the caped crusader
Shaman
Shaman - 4/27/2009, 6:25 AM
Well you can't say Pasdar hasn't given us good reasons why he'd make a great Bats because you prefer Bale. I agree, Bale is a great Batman but that in no way takes anything away from Pasdar. His character on "Heroes" is the perfect Bruce Wayne and he has given us enough darkness in that show to be a stellar Batman.

And like i said many times, i like Bale too but i want the character to evolve and for them to bring in extra players in the game which Bale is thoroughly against. I mean, why keep the character in 4th gear for over three films??? It gets stale after awhile regardless of how good TDK was. They need to follow up and they'll fall flat on their asses if the character doesn't evolve. I mean, aside from "choosing" to be in the people's "bad graces", the character didn't show any "evolution" from "Batman Begins". They concentrated more on Harvey Dent which worked for the second movie but they can't keep side tracking their main character like that.

how bout jeffery donovan as bruce/bat (he originally was my pick for hal jordan but i think if he gained some bulk would be perfect for the role.)
Shaman
Shaman - 4/27/2009, 6:46 PM
Kinda looks like a cross between Matt Dilon and Randy Travis... I'd have to see him in something that just screams "Bruce Wayne" as much as Pasdar's role in Heroes as Nathan Petrelli, before i could ever concider him.

hbk82287 - 4/29/2009, 2:41 PM
Christian Bale has the WORST batman voice IMO. 2 movies and he still sounds like hes acting with throat cancer under the mask. let whoever play the bat... just do a voice of with Kevin Conroy from Batman TAS and everything will be great. (loving the old voices returning fro the animated series to the new batman game on the way)

Yeah, i know. I'm so sick of Bale's bitching all the time!!! He has a life that'd everyone else would just dream of having. And he still concentrates on negativity. Well IMO, it does affect his performances and it's why he doesn't shine as much as Keaton did in my eyes.

I have to agree and disagree with several statements made in this thread. I agree that Christian Bale's voice as Batman is horrendous, but like the way he portrays the physical demeanor of Batman; also find Bale's portrayer of Bruce Wayne lacking in his billionaire swagger. That aside, I cannot not picture anyone else replacing Bale as Batman.

As for Adrian Pasdar, I can see him picking up the mantel of Azrael's version of Batman. I like the way Adrian pulls off the struggle between doing what's right and doing what's necessary in Heroes, a similar struggle faced by Azrael. And seeing that Nathan was killed off in Heroes, his schedule will be opening up soon.
That being said, a whole lot has to happen in Christopher Nolan's Batman universe before Adrian would be able to come in as Azrael.
Shaman
Shaman - 5/4/2009, 6:54 AM
Mmmmmm... Azrael... now that's an idea... But isn't Azrael supposed to appear younger than Bruce??? Pasdar looks older than Bale... Still, i wouldn't be opposed to this turning of events should Nolan decide to take it.
