EyePrime posted some new photos from Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises Pittsburgh set. Along with a closer look at Marion Cotillard's character, came two interesting additional photos of a woman, who seems to be Anne Hathaway stand-in. What's interesting is the fact that the woman seems to be holding a Catwoman mask!

Decide for yourself!

The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled to hit cinemas July 20th, 2012, and will feature an all-star cast that includes Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman Marion Cottilard, Anne Hathaway, Josh Pence, Tom Hardy, Morgan Freeman & Jospeh Gordon Levitt.

The stand-ins don't get the same props/costumes as the actual actors. The stand-in for Bane had a painter's mask sewn onto simple straps that covered roughly the same amount of his head as Hardy's mask did. Other than that, he wore a black t-shirt with his name and character/actor he was standing in for scrawled across a piece of tape on the front.

What you can tell from this shot of the stand in is how long Selina Kyle's hair is for at least this part of the film.

Kool find, but highly doubtful in regards to it being any property of Miss Kyle..

Doubt it. They probably wouldn't be carrying that around out in the open. Plus she's supposed to have goggles.

Some how I dont think so...

Thats not Hathaway for sure, probably stunt double but maybe just worker, someone in wardrobe maybe... but for sure that is a cheap party mask, no way its part of the costume for Catwoman, nor would I believe its even a "stand-in" mask for the stunt person, its too far off from the goggle... maybe its something cheap someone grabs in scene to hide thier face temporarily?

A stand-in is not a stunt person... A stand-in is simply a person who physically matches the general dimensions of the actor so that, prior to filming a scene, they can compose shots without needing the actor on set. They are never actually filmed, just used to get lighting and blocking angles worked out. That can be long, tedious work and the real actors would much rather wait in their trailers until they're actually needed to act.

The guy standing in for Bane had to shave his head and was given the cobbled-together painters mask to wear. The woman above does appear to be Anne Hathaway's stand-in, with matching hairstyle/color. The fact that she has a mask like that strongly suggests that the real Catwoman mask (at least for This scene anyway) will not be covering more of her face/head than what the stand-in's cheap mask covers.

I dont think so, they said she'd have the goggles. Maybe thats her first mask, but when she starts to help Bats, he gives her the goggles.

I like that in the third picture it looks like they are in between shooting but we see a random police officer laying on the ground. That's my favorite part!

But wheres the catwoman suit?
BooYah

She also has a leather jacket in her hands. So maybe her suit is that with the jacket and the mask. Seems like something Nolan would do.

@ demonhunter15,

It's not just that she's wearing those clothes, it's that she's wearing those clothes while walking with Bane's mercenaries, and hopping into a Tumbler. And she's wearing a kimono like outfit, with a colour scheme similar to that of Bane and his mercenaries.

Holy crap, how are these shots being taken? The whole moive will be spoiled for us at this rate. Goddam it, this Miranda Tate thing could have been a good build up, but I guess we all know what happens now, don't we...(as if anyone else didn't though X)P ) Still, they oughta have mad security beefed up at this point. It's too easy for thirsty fans on the internet to click away at any new inch (or 7) of TDKR :)P

Im assuming that little cat mask is something that anne will wear very early in the film maybe at a party or something she just puts on for a certain reason which inspires her to dress like a cat burglar..

OR

it could just be exactly what someone on here said about a stand-in actors mask... Either way I highly doubt that is the final cat suit mask...lol.. i hope not...
supernaturalfreak
supernaturalfreak - 8/4/2011, 9:30 AM
its most likely just something used for run throughs, which leads me to think that the suit might be uncomfortable, and where there's uncomfortable, there's leather spandex, or maybe not haha, all im saying is that dont get all pissy because you saw a small prop that wont ever bee seen on screen
Shunt
Shunt - 8/4/2011, 9:32 AM
@jdukes25... thanks for the source... you know, now that I read that, I do remember reading everything about that rumor expect the part where he describes the suit as being form fitted so she still looks hott...

Im glad they are doing the 2000's high tech version of Catwoman... or at least I hope so because that source is just claiming this, but not as fact.. just yet...

There's only so much security can do to halt photos when they're shooting on populated city blocks in broad daylight. If people can look out the windows of their apartments or stand on their balconies and see all of this, there's not much that can be done.

At some point, you just have to exercise self control and not look at the spoilers.
