Well, I have to admit this surprised me! There wasn't much in it, but DC/Warner Bros' and Christopher Nolan came out on top with just over half of the votes going to The Dark Knight Rises..



Reading through the comments on the original poll it seems that although everyone is clearly looking forward to both movies, many feel that The Avengers is still something of a risk, whereas Nolan has already delivered two great movies. I personally thought that Joss Whedon's currently shooting flick would just edge it.

Anyway, what do you think? Surprised? Wasn't much in it anyway. I'm sure we can all agree that both movies have the potential to go down as history making in the CBM world.

the truth is Nolan has created a solid Batman movies most likely everyone will support that movie.

but to be honest im hyped for both The Avengers and TDKR. but i still find Nolan TDKR not a comic book movie anymore it feels like something else beyond a typical CBM.

I never saw this poll, oh well, I love Batman, I love Avengers, And I'm excited equally for both. I'm seeing each atleast 60 times. 30 of those at theaters, I'm gonna have to get atleast 2 jobs lol.

@marvel72 - Actually, Batman fans thought the poll was who would win in a fight: Batman vs the Avengers ;)

I'm way more excited to see the Avengers than I am to see TDKR. I will see TDKR, because i do like the Bat flicks, but I hope it's better than TDK because that was kind of a let down compared to BB.

I voted that I'm more excited for TDKR because I think it will be better. I tend to get more excited for movies that I think will be good. Still stoked for the Avengers too though.

Avengers is something that hasn't been done before. I'm more excited about that. TDKR will be good but it's just another Batman movie for me.

Only by an insignificant 45 votes because of Nolan and Batman combination is like super overhyped where as combining Whedon with Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Cap, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury, SHIELD and the other endless possibilities of the Marvel Universe will be beyond epic, but we are all entitled to our own opinions

Marvel has tried twice to bring together movies with a large cast in IronMan 2 and Thor, and to be picky you could also use both Fantastic 4 movies and X-Men 3. Fact is, Marvel has issues pulling together a movie with a large cast and with the majority of the characters being A list superheros, I think everyone should look past all their fantasies and consider the fact that the Avengers may not live up to expectations.

I hope TDKR is great, but we all had faith in Sam Raimi after Spider-Man 2, and look what happened. In Nolan we trust, right? But I'm still more excited (if a bit more apprehensive) about THE AVENGERS. This joining of multiple movie franchises is unprecedented, and I'd really like to see it pan out.

I hate this mentality. I stopped buying comics this spring because all the people in the shop talked about was DC vs. Marvel.

i'm over it , Xbox vs. PS3, Dem vs. Rep, this world is in desperate need for a leader.

I know what Nolan can do with Batman, but I can't wait to see what what Whedon does with the Avenger's. To me, it's like choosing between a cheese burger I already love or one I've never tried before, but has the potential to be great. I love surprises, bring on the Avenger's!

Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Cap, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury, SHIELD and the villains included and people honestly think that it's just gonna fall into place and be the best cbm ever. Common sense people really. Fact is, Nolans Batman movies have a good record, Marvels use of large groups just doesn't always pull together well. And think about it this way, people have been complaining about Nolan having too many character in The Dark Knight Rises and presume that it wont work well but you think the Avengers will. Sounds unfair to me. I guess the driving force is that all those big time heroes will be on one screen, who cares how well the movie works right?

The Dark Knight Rises. Very curious to see how this trilogy is completed. Nolan knows how to keep things interesting.

I'm am looking forward to Avengers greatly myself but I just hope this isn't another one of Marvels "let's get it out the door" movies saturated in special effects. I personally need a break from all the "realism" in the Batman movies.

The FIRST movie of a god, a monster, a super soldier, an armoured-suited playboy, battling a god of evil and a power mad titan on a galactic scale.

Let me think, now what am I most excited to see?

Im excited for batman and the avengers. But i voted for batman because im a huge batman fan always have been and i like what nolan is doing and this is supposed to be the end chapter of a trilogy, i have invested time into the franchise i wanna see the end of it. But still think avengers is gonna be fun
