The Dark Knight Rises Batmobile?...Maybe!!!

The Dark Knight Rises Batmobile?...Maybe!!!

Recently revealed concept photos for the new Lamborghini "Aknonian" look a lot like the Batmobile/tumbler from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight...Our new Batmobile for third installment?

Recent photos of one of Lamborghini's newest design, the "Aknonian" has started some online speculation amongst comic book fans and fans of the "Nolan/Batman movie-verse".

It is general knowledge that in The Dark Knight, Batman's current main mode of transport was destroyed after a run in with a "bazooka" toting Joker. This caused most fans and viewers alike to ponder what would be the replacement vehicle for the third movie; The Dark Knight Rises. Well It looks as we MAY have our answer in the this gorgeous new Lamborghini design.

The Aknonian is set to be released in 2016, but could it be used as the new Batmobile in the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises? This IS NOT far fetched if one takes into account that the previous film The Dark Knight shows that Bruce Wayne has an obvious affinity for the foreign luxary speedster. It is also not far fetched to think that with his ever improving arsenal in the movies that he could modify a Lamborghini with tumbler "tech"; but this is still ONLY fan specualtion and there is no confirmation of this from Warner Bros. studios or Nolan himself.

This should be in no way referred to as fact and once again only specualtion. What do you think? Be sure to leave your comment in the normal spot.

this car has got alot of hype around here as a possible new bat mobile, seems a bit strange that he would go from a tank to a sports car though so I doubt it.

that is really really awesome!! i hope it is true, seems that he would go frm tank to sports car, true to the comics!

TheDARKestKNIGHT - 4/13/2011, 9:57 AM
@Twenty23Three But it has close design ties to the tumbler and lamborghini is obviously a staple in the series with it's prominent feature in The Dark Knight, even going to the extent of Michael Cain's Alfred calling it by name. I totally agree that a typical sports car wouldn't cut it as a Batmobile but one with modified tumbler tech is highly believable in the Nolan Batman movie-verse. But that's just my opinion. Thanks for even reading my article bro!

This was actually posted a while back still good to see it again. IMO the Tumbler is still the Batmobile in Nolans series.

@spider1489 the two darker images are concept art; the added flames are even more reason to believe that this could be used for The Dark Knight rises. there'd be no need for flames in real life driving I'm sure.

@lokisilvertongue-thanks for reading bro!

@sh4ko-thanks!

@CanadaMan-Yea that makes perfect sense! Sort of how Chevy did with the Camaro debuting in Transformers while it was still a concept car!

It would be awesome if that was the new Batmobile.
I liked the Tumbler, but it was too chunky IMO. Hope they have a design at least similar to this.

Saw this a couple months back on a car website and the first thing I thought was that it would make a cool Batmobile. Don't see how going from the tumbler to a sports car would be an improvement though.

i like the idea of it being an actual car but this is too flashy and i would rather a single jet on the rear.

I could definitely see this in a batman film.
it looks so sleek and fast ,but i don't think this will be in a nolan batman film because its too much like bruce wayne and not batman, there surrpose to be different even though they are the same person.

I think it could work well. I mean yes the first was a tank, but with it being destroyed he could say he needs something focuses more on speed. I mean he IS running from the cops.
