RUMOUR: Release Date For 'The Dark Knight Rises' DVD/BLU-RAY Revealed?

Popular website 'Blu-ray.com' are reporting that 'The Dark Knight Rises' will be released on DVD/Blu-Ray on December 7th 2012.

Although this date could prove yet to be nothing more than a rumour, it would make sense given the time period from the film's release date and the likelihood of Warner Bros. making some serious cash over the Christmas period.

As for the artwork, yet to be confirmed, showing solely Batman, this will most likely be the final artwork, with both Batman Begins' and The Dark Knight's DVD/Blu-Ray covers showing only Batman, without any other characters from the films.

4 months is the most usual time span from theatrical release to DVD, however, due to what I predict will be an extended run for TDKR in cinemas, December seems more likely than November.

Most of Nolan's summer films have been released around the 2nd week of December.

@NinjaJesus

You might just want to work on getting your views across in a better way. People on this site DO respect opinions that maybe aren't their own, just so long as you do so in a respectful and intellectual manner.

My only question is why comment on this article if only to try and annoy people. There's a point where one's opinion just becomes a want for attention and to get others rattled.

I do not oppose your opinion as many people didn't like the movie (for me it didn't live up to expectations); just maybe try and voice that opinion with a bit more thought as to what you're actually saying.

@NinjaJesus

That's your decision. Just don't expect your popularity to improve if you continue to approach matters with such an insulting manner.

@CBMJamie OH I HAVE voiced my opinion in a "better" way. But, frankly, I don't give a [frick] anymore on who I "offend". No one else seems to, except for a select few. I'm sick of doing the "respectful" route. But who knows? Maybe I MIGHT be more respectful in the future. Today, I don't feel like it. "

Aka... Trolling....

I have read his/her previous posts, but I wanted to try and see if I could establish any sense as opposed to his/her insulting manner.

Christmas makes sense - it will cash-in on the Christmas gift period and it will also allow a bit more time for the Colorado shooting incident to subside a little, releasing it on DVD too early could be a bit sensitive and would make promoting it a little awkward.

@NinjaJesus - pretty silly and expensive way to buy a new coaster, but whatever turns you on, WB will thank you for the money.

They can do a much better cover than this, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the trilogy set. I bet it looks classy.

@TheStarSpangledMan I'll be using Captain America and the Avengers movie as toilet paper...how many shitty failed movies has Marvel put out now? Marvel is good for two things: idiotic fans like you who pay for that garbage and an endless supply of toilet paper.
