What is Knight's role in the Dark Knight Rises?

Speculation about the role of Aramis Knight and what it might mean to the story in Nolan's final chapter.

This is something which I noticed a while back while browsing through the cast section on IMDB for The Dark Knight Rises and decided it seemed more relevant now with the recent spoiler revealed about Joey King's role as Talia Al Ghul.

To start out, we have long suspected Joey King's role in The Dark Knight Rises was the young version of Marion Cotillard's character Miranda Tate aka Talia Al Ghul. Although we have no official confirmation about Miranda Tate's alter ego being Talia Al Ghul, it is becoming a pretty safe bet with King's recent interview slip. Not to mention the resemblance between them:

Who I haven't heard anyone mention or speculate about is the casting of another young actor named Aramis Knight who is also credited as a cast member on IMDB. It is my guess that he has been cast in the role of the young Bane. Maybe it's just me, but I think they share a strong resemblance as well:

There is probably going to be a good deal of flash back in TDKR that explains Bane and Talia's back story, but it makes me wonder exactly what their relationship to each other is. Perhaps childhood friends simliar to that of Bruce Wayne and Rachel Dawes? This would further the idea that Bane's origin story will mirror Bruce's. Could Ras Al Ghul even be a surrogate father to Bane? Maybe his real father? I lean towards the former, but With Josh Pence confirmed as the young Ras, I'd say that either one is possible.

Although this wouldn't be accurate to the comicbook version of Bane's origin story. In the "Legacy" storyline we know that Bane is not introduced to Ras until after Bruce completes his training with the League of Shadows. But it wouldn't be the first time Nolan has reworked some of the source material which I realize annoys some people. Personally, I'm ok with it.

At any rate, this could all be old news to some people but since I have yet to read anything about it, I figured I'd go ahead and put it out there for people like me who may be behind in some of the TDKR rumors. I'll leave it up to the comments section to either shoot this theory down entirely or contribute with further speculation. I should add that this is my first post, so be gentle.

Why do ppl moan when the movies storylines are different from the source material, if it was the same such as spiderman then we would know what is going to happen so I for one am glad that the writers change it from the original and long may it continue its bad enough that there isn't enough originality in hollywood

slight changes to the source material is fine,but to change the look of the character completely is just wrong.

if i didn't vist this site to know that was bane,i would of never of guess it was him.

x-men first class should of been the original team against magneto,whatever else you do to storyline is up to the director but don't change what made the characters great.

if bane is meant tower over batman & actually look threatning than thats what he should look like in the film.

It has to be a young Bane. It kinda looks like him if you change his skin tone and hair...their heights are probably similar though ;-)

Aramis Knight is not young Bane, and here's proof: http://i.imgur.com/vp0qR.jpg

@Dragon316ca

The Apple Kid! Yeah, that definately looks like him. Never saw this close up picture of him when these set photos came out. Back to the drawing board I guess.

You might wanna change the teaser. The fact that she is Talia is still considered a spoiler even though most of us assumed it already.

@BIGBMH

Good point. I went ahead and revised the teaser.

@Marvel72, i feel your pain, son. But i suppose you wanna see Wolverine wearing yellow tights, huh? You should understand that some things don't work on the big screen.

Anyway, isn't this kid the same boy in the Catwoman's "apple scene"?

Oh yes its a real shame we're not getting this again:

Why is it so difficult for some people to view the films as a different Universe? There's enough of them in the comics so why not just see the films as another?

I was hoping the Prologue would feature a backstory on Bane and maybe Talia or Selina Kyle, but as long as there are flashbacks, I'm okay. Can't wait for this movie. This summer is going to be absolutely amazing.

@ FatherMidnight

if they can get the costume right,why not? i've always wanted to see wolverine in one of his costumes yellow & blue or the brown one.

@Morty we don't know his backstory we've assumed there is no prison and even if there isn't so what? as for the venom, they have something in place, some kind of drug fed into him by the mask that makes him physically stronger (not feeling pain is a huge advantage when fighting). So it might not be called Venom and it might not make him grow to ridiculous proportions but it still makes him physically strong.

Maybe he's just the kid GL talks to on the roof of the building or the kid that gets his apple taken. 6 months.

@Frogman: It is also a huge disadvantage. Pain tell us when something is wrong with our bodies. That is why doctors poke at us asking "does it hurt here, how about here". If you can't feel pain, you don't know what is damaged(internally).
Frogman
Frogman - 1/22/2012, 3:29 AM
@bgharcourt and that will probably be what brings Bane down. He doesn't realise exactly how injured he is so just keeps fighting and then dies or just can't go on fighting.
