BATMAN V SUPERMAN Extra Spills Some Story Details

An anonymous extra claims he got a flashback scene with a young Bruce Wayne and knows why part of Batman V Superman will be taking place in Washington D.C.

The first of the two scenes this extra filmed was a flashback involving a young Bruce Wayne and Jeremy Irons,

"The first scene we filmed was with Jeremy Irons", he says. "It was out in a field with young Bruce Wayne. A flashback to the Wayne funeral. The small set was really cool with the hearse vehicles
sporting Gotham license plates."

But the second seems to be a little more important, and revolves around what might be a big plot point in Batman V Superman.

"The second scene I was involved in was situated in a half-stadium style set surrounded by tall green screen walls. Henry Cavill was on set dressed as Clark Kent, but did not film with us that day." He continues, "This scene was a parade scene to take place in "Washington D.C.", obviously the CG effects for the surroundings would be placed in post production." Now for the major spoiler of this report... "The parade, we were told, was the funeral for the President of the United States." "I wish I had more pics but our phones were checked in before filming and we didn't get them back until the end of the
day."

Now if you don't believe what this extra is saying that is completely understandable. These are extremely bold claims to make. But  do take a look at this picture he also sent to the SupermanHomePage to verify his story.

I doubt this is true.

Does it really matter if we get a flashback? Snyder already said they won't be retelling the origin, so it's not like it's going to be very repetitive.

As much as I'd like president Luthor, Jessie's version just doesn't work for that portrayal. I really hope seeing the Wayne's being killed again isn't true. We all know what happens, so why not show something else instead. That being if it is just like the opening of Watchmen, then I could see it working.

This report doesn't say Lex is the President.

Eisenberg is too young according to federal law to be POTUS anyway.

Setting up president Luthor?

Not with Jesse playing him. Haha.
He could be president of the Metropolis Gluten Awareness Club, though.

Interesting. Do we really need another flashback scene of Bruce Waynes parents death and young Bruce Wayne attending there funeral. I've seen it done so many times that it's engraved in to my brain.

Luthor as President, i could see Kevin Spacey in that role but not Eisenberg.

Oh...I could just imagine what the Extras had to say.

Scooper: What happened?

Extra: Check dis shit man. My boy Batman busts up on the scene in his bitchin' Batmobile and is all like "Why you be snappin' necks n*gga?" And you know my man Supes ain't taking' dat shit. So he all like "What's it to you faggot?" And you best believe Batman whipped his dick out and put it on the table.

Scooper: Uh...okay. Wow. Thank you?

Extra: No doubt. No doubt.

Very excited about all the CBMs on the horizon, but this still has to be the most anticipated for me, maybe ever. I can't think of another film that I looked forward to more (although the Dark Knight and Knight Rises are close). I loved MoS and it's more serious take on Superman. So to see that version of Kal El and a similar tone Batman together on screen is crazy.
Interesting plot points here. I could see Luthor running for president, or using the death of the president to incite fear and further his anti alien (Supes) agenda. Maybe tge world decides they need a Justice League after seeing the president assassinated by someone the government couldn't stop. But honestly.... I have no clue, lol.

@WinterSoldier33 "This movie must be 2 and a half hours long":

At least. It sounds like it has about 9 plots so far.

WAIT! NO, I GET IT: The Reason the title looks like a court case rather than a battle (that is a "v" instead of a "vs") is that Batman and Superman run for president. Batman wins and Superman contests it.

I still can't figure out how they ended up w/a subtitle that sounds like something someone's 9-y-o daughter came up with. (A pun? For real, DCE?!)

@Phlegmbot I know you're not serious, but I actually thought the "v" instead of "vs" was clever because it's like Batman's prosecuting Superman, which really is what's happening in the film.

Dawn of Justice IS pretty lame, though.

@xstartripper - Do we know that for certain at this point?

Either way, the title (top and sub) comes off as silly to me. That's one of the problems I have w/the Nolan Batman movies and MoS. That is, the tone and style of the films is "we're taking this stuff very seriously." But then there are things that are just so goofy (e.g., Bane's King-Tut-like voice [meaning the Batman '66 character]; everything Lois Lane does and says) that we the audience would be able to digest those things more easily if the movies themselves were not so serious.

@Phlegmbot It's pretty much confirmed at this point that a weathered, wiser Batman is coming by to check on a super powered alien who was involved in a small portion of a bustling city getting destroyed. In that sense, "Batman v Superman" is actually kinda clever. Might sound corny aloud, but I guess I appreciate that WB/DC at least put some thought into it.

Don't like the sub myself, although it is fitting for a comic book movie. I would've preferred they cool it on the cheese myself.

But that's the difference in perception. While I'd agree that such corniness would be out of place in the TDK films, I think the DCCU is going to be a serious adaptation of a comic book. I see the TDK films as dipping into the Batman mythos and applying it to the "real world." It's not trying to be a Batman film at its core. But I do believe the DCCU is attempting to take the comics and put them on the screen but in a serious way. The approaches are very different in my eyes even though they both read as "serious." So I think cheesiness isn't as bad or out of place in MoS as it would be in TDK.

Just my two cents.
