Could we see UFC's Tyron Woodley in a couple of the big upcoming CBMs from both DC and Marvel? The mixed martial artist went to war in the Octagon with Rory McDonald, but now it seems the fighter will be looking to focus more on his acting career. During the Great MMA Debate podcast (via Fox Sports), Woodley revealed that although he thought his schedule wouldn't allow it, he may well now be able to take roles in
Ant-Man and
Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
"I had a couple of projects that I wasn't going to be able to do because they were going into this training camp, but the good thing about movies sometimes the budget's sometimes off and they have to reschedule things so there's three big projects that I'll get to work on directly after this fight. I've got a Marvel and a DC project I should be able to jump on and continue my career there as well.Man of Steel 2 (title is now 'Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice), I've got some calls about doing that so I would love to take advantage of that if the timeframe works out. There's another movie called Ant-Man that's coming out and I might be able to get some work on that as well. I'd like to do both and I think I'll be able to."
Sounds like things might just work out, and if the timing allows it, who could Woodley be playing? In all likelihood it wouldn't be a major character of course -- chances are they'd actually be stunt-focused roles..but you never know!
Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently filming in Detroit for principle photography, and the movie will hit theaters May 6, 2016.
Ant-Man will be released on July 17, 2015.
