Two audition videos for Warner Bros.' Birds of Prey movie have found their way online, and they appear to tease several of the film's main characters.

Actress Jeanine Serralles (Inside Llewyn Davis, Two Lovers) gives her character's name as Lopez, but that's almost certainly a cover for Renee Montoya. In the vid we see her discussing a police investigation with her partner, and at one point she mentions a new assassin in town that favors a crossbow as their weapon of choice. Gotta be Huntress, right?

This next one is a bit more of a stretch, but following a recent report that Black Mask would be the main villain, there's a chance this Cecil Rockas guy that's wiping out criminal organizations across the city is actually Roman Sionis.

Birds of Prey is currently scheduled to begin shooting early next year so hopefully we'll get some official casting news soon.

Feel this movie should definitely be made, but not a fan of Harley in it at all. A lot of great actresses can fill the roles, and am cautiously optimistic...even though I hate that we are getting this before a damn MoS sequel, but w/e.

Also, i'm realllly excited to see Black Mask...hopefully they don't frick him up *fingers crossed*.

Idk how I feel about screen tests being "leaked" to the public like this. Part of me thinks it's nice to get a peek at the script and tone they're going for, but mostly I think it makes actors look quite bad at their job.

Though I do think it helps looking back AFTER they've been cast, because it's neat to see their initial takes on a character.

Fingers crossed this is good, has a good bit of potential, even if people don’t want to admit it.

@Mattygrand - mask is being wasted in this role. He is such a great villain. I would have loved to see him in The Batman or Nightwing as the main antagonist. This is gonna focus on this team of misfits and he will be on the back burner the whole time.

@Mattygrand - just looking at track records. Suicide Squad focused on the team and ditch the villain so did justice league.

@RancidBane - granted the two villains mentioned were never all that big to begin with regardless of the movie they were in. Black Madk is a fairly big name, it would actually be hard to mess him up. Plus with how things are looking with these next few flicks, I think we’ll be safe

@RancidBane - Amanda Waller was the villain, not Enchantress. I mean, it's clearer in the Official Movie Novelization of "Suicide Squad", but you can definitely see that she's not too worried about Enchantress killing pretty much everyone in Midway City, especially since she could easily have killed her with little to no issue. Also Trailer Park's "Suicide Squad" and Frankenstein's monster "Justice League" were incomplete films that were not intended to be safe, but were hacked apart and put back together to look safe. So far as the studio leaves their creative teams ALONE on this one, it won't be, and Black Mask is the perfect villain for them.
