BLACK ADAM Post-Credits Scene LEAKS Online A Week Ahead Of Its Release Date - SPOILERS

While we weren't expecting this, it appears as though the post-credits scene from Warner Bros. and New Line's Black Adam has leaked online following last night's global premiere and it's quite super.

Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson hasn't exactly done a great job at keeping one of his film's biggest reveals a secret, so it probably shouldn't come as a surprise that the film's showstopping post-credits sequence has leaked online in its entirety.

We won't be linking the scene here for legal reasons, as Warner Bros. and New Line scramble to scrub it as quickly as possible, but it's been spreading like wildfire across Twitter and TikTok all afternoon and may be hard to avoid before the film finally opens in theaters next Friday, October 21.

As for what it contains, Variety reports the scene indeed reveals, "Henry Cavill as Superman, stepping out from a veil of smoke, confronting Johnson’s Black Adam and saying, “It’s been a while since anyone’s made the world this nervous"

Johnson has been expressing his desire to bring Henry Cavill's Superman back into the mix at a pretty relentless pace throughout the film's lengthy global press tour and has managed to generate quite a bit of buzz for a then-hypothetical cinematic showdown between his Black Adam and the Man of Steel. However, it looks like he'll actually be getting his wish as Cavill is seemingly back in the saddle and ready to usher in a new era of DC Films.

Since it's probable this post-credits sequence was a late-stage addition to the movie, it raises a lot of questions about what Warner Bros. could have planned for Cavill's future as the Man of Steel. Could we see him in a proposed Superman & Shazam vs. Black Adam film or will he return for a Justice League vs Justice Society of America film first or could we finally see the studios move forward with a Man of Steel sequel? Only time will tell, but either way, it looks like exciting days lie ahead for all of us.

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

OT: It looks like Harrison Ford, has indeed, been cast in Thunderbolts as Thunderbolt Ross. https://www.slashfilm.com/999694/marvel-recruits-harrison-ford-to-replace-the-late-william-hurt-in-thunderbolts/

@comicfan100 - That's cool, but I'd be expecting there to be some anger and confusion by this recast after Hurt's recent passing but they didn't recast T'Challa. Regardless of if he's a supporting or main character.

@UniqNo - Only the typical group of people would be upset by that. Chadwick's was a truly unexpected passing of a young, beloved talent who really left a mark on people and cultural impact with his T'Challa portrayal while Hurt was a never as popular actor or character with a known for a couple year illness, in his 70s, and accused of pretty serious domestic assault charges. Not even close to a similar enough situation for the majority of people to care

@Armageddon26 - I don't disagree with the impact that Boseman had for the culture.

I would argue that Hurt was alot more famous than him though and those accusations didn't stop Marvel from hiring him as those are quite old. He wasn't that old when he passed either only 7 months ago.

I think it would have been better to leave the character a while longer before announcing the recast.

We'll see though. I like how their handling Bosemans loss, I just think Marvel have opened themselves for further critism with that move

@Armageddon26 - That's still pretty hypocritical. Either recasting after a death is okay or its not. And maybe the character isn't all that popular but that's all the more reason to recast a popular character over a non-popular one. You could replace Ross and the story would work just fine, replacing T'challa requires changing everything given his importance.

@KWilly - it's a shame. i really liked the first movie at the time of release. the most digestible of the snyder era DCEU films.

Has Cavill's absence been noticed at all?

@MCUKnight11 - Nope!
I mean, its cool to see Clark's face, but Superman's cameo in Shazam wipes the floor with this.

People are actually going to pay for a 5 seconds cameo? let alone Snyder fans paying to see the Whedon version? lol.

Glad for Henry, though, he probably got paid millions to pose in front of a greenscreen during lunch-break.
