Yesterday evening, some troubling reports surfaced in regards to Marvel creator Stan Lee being hospitalised with shortness of breath and an irregular heartbeat. At 95, he's no spring chicken but the comic book writer did appear at the Black Panther world premiere earlier this week and is still a regular on the convention circuit. Thankfully, we now have a pretty positive update on his current condition.

After a brief hospital stay, Lee is back home and is said to be feeling refreshed after a night in a medical facility. "All I really want to do is tell you that I'm feeling great," he confirmed in a brief statement.

It initially looked like Lee would stay for several days to undergo routine tests but he was released from Cedars-Sinai early after checking in on Thursday. With any luck, the legendary comic book creator will hopefully be shooting Marvel movie cameos for a very long time to come and it's definitely a relief to hear that he's better now. @Bokis -AGREED! I remember a while back when Len Wein died & my local news used it as a 'bumper' before a break "A COMIC BOOK LEGEND HAS DIED..." I had like 5 heart attacks & 7 'Scheduling Conflicts' imagining the marathon I'd have to do to watch all of his cameos that I have on DVD/Blu-Ray DURING THE COMMERCIAL! He's an 'Honorary Grandpa' like Bob Barker & Hugh Hefner!

Glad to hear he’s okay, I know he realistically can’t live all that much longer, and I’m sure his wife’s passing and those hideous accusations are taking a toll on him. Hope he can pull a Kirk Douglas and live past 100.

Stan needs to hang in there through Avengers 4, it’ll be tragic if he does before he sees this thing through to the end

I hate to see this, because typically in situations like this, once one thing happens, everything starts to catch up. How many elderly relatives have you had that have a fall, or get injured, or get sick just once--it seems minuscule...then bam...next thing you know, that relative is gone? It really, really, really sucks. I hope it's nothing, I am anticipating that it unfortunately won't be. :(

Stan Lee started voicing his opinion against racism and bigotry as early as the 60's. I'm glad he got to be at the Black Panther red carpet, and that he'll witness the movie's success.
