The chances of seeing Scarlett Johansson back in The MCU as Natasha Romanoff are somewhere between slim and none, but thanks to Black Widow costume designer Jany Temime, we do have a previously unseen shot of the actress taken during her original costume fitting for the movie.
Temime, who has also worked on the likes of Skyfall and the Harry Potter films, took to Instagram to share a new behind-the-scenes photo of Johansson trying on her outfit for the first time.
Of course, we've seen the Academy Award-nominated actress don this suit (or slightly different versions of it) countless times before on the big screen, but it is interesting to compare this photo to Scarlett's initial costume fitting for her MCU debut in Iron Man 2 (click here to check out the snaps).
Again, Johansson reprising the role of Black Widow is highly unlikely, but not necessarily impossible. While it would somewhat detract from the hero's noble sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame, the exploration of the Multiverse does open the door to the potential introduction of countless Variants of Natasha. Whether Scarlett would be interested in returning is another matter, of course!
