There were rumblings that the first trailer for Black Widow would be released today, but it ended up debuting much sooner than expected, and it's left us with plenty to talk about! We'll be taking a deep dive into all those reveals a little later today, but we now have over 75 hi-res images from the teaser. 

As well as a detailed look at characters like Taskmaster and Red Guardian (who, surprisingly, looks set to be comic relief), there are plenty of awesome shots showing Natasha in action. 

Her new suits - including that nifty new white number - also receive the spotlight as do the other Black Widows. Marvel Studios is clearly pulling out all the stops to ensure that their second female-led blockbuster is a hit and aside from Taskmaster's suit, the movie does look like a lot of fun. 

Kicking Phase 4 off with a movie set between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War is a bold move on Marvel's part, and it will be interesting seeing how it teases the MCU's future.

Also could’ve sworn this movie (or atleast part of it) Was suppose to be taking place after endgame? Part is clearly years prior to phase 1 (as you can spot younger Ross. He must be still playing an important role in the future. Recruiting Taskmaster or someone in this movie for thunderbolts is a good bet). Part of it as you can see is before infinity war but there was a set photo of her with the blonde tips wasn’t there? And wearing that green top that she had on in a Endgame deleted scene. Also we’re in mother Russia now. Throw in some omega red references and toss him in team x when the new wolverine shows up.

This looks way more decent that I thought it would. It has some real kick to it, some energy. Red Guardian looks pretty good.

@Nebula - it looks like they took twenty years off his life, which is weird because those SUVs behind him are fairly contemporary (5-10 years old).

He looks younger than he did in Civil War, which takes place before Black Widow.

@Nebula - yea they smoothed him a little too much. We've still got about 6 months until release. Hopefully they fix this a bit.

@Nebula - I think 'William Hurt' looks fine in that shot. Certainly better than the studio that did CGI de-aging on DeNiro and Pacino in The Irishman, that did not look good.

People said a Black widow movie won’t be interesting. I was hyped for this movie and it was my most anticipated followed by Eternals for phase 4. This was why it was my number 1 anticipated movie and it looks so different and fresh.

Marvel be like "if you think this looks good wait until we start promoting the Eternals".

best compliment I can give the trailer is that it doesn't really feel or look like an MCU movie. it really feels like the first step into unknown territory, there is no stones or Thanos or any sort of apparent immediate goal, an "endgame" if you will.

@Spidey91 - agreed. The first time it reminded me it was a comic book movie, was seeing red guardian in that costume plucked straight from the pages (with no alterations to make it cinema worthy lol)

I'm kinda happy they went bold like that with his costume. Reminds me of the costumes on watchmen. If he's a big brutal guy, it'll make up for all the silliness in the costume. Honestly I wouldn't want them to change if up one bit. Excited to see what the big guy can do!

@LongMayHeReign - that's the thing for me at least: even with TWS as a point of comparison, it doesn't quite feel like it, even thou it also leans more towards the harder, militaristic side of the MCU where characters are put down by plain ol' guns and knives.
