Habro Toy Spoils Secret Captain America: the Winter SoldierVillain?

It appears that nobody has caught a potential spoiler for The Winter Solider hidden in plain sight during the Hasbro Marvel panel at SDCC 2013!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although we did see some Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.) easter eggs in Iron Man 3, we all wanted the yellow bee keeper suits and some references to M.O.D.O.K. At least just a tease! Some signage, shirts and characters speaking of the corporation / organization was all we really got. Is it possible that this is changing with next year's Captain America sequel? Could there be even more to the Winter Soldier? Will there be more A.I.M. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, & will they follow the comic book canon that A.I.M. is a subsidiary of Hydra? And will this lead to the return of the Red Skull?

Exhibit A:

During the Hasbro Marvel Panel at the San Diego Comic Con slideshow, the new Marvel Legends & movie action figure line's alignment was revealed. During the 2014 Sneak Peek, the showed a Marvel Now "comic" Captain America, a "comic" Baron Zemo, & then a "movie" RED SKULL & A.I.M. SOLDIER!!

At first, I figured this was a typo, or they are doing a First Avenger Red Skull. But upon closer examination, the uniform could be different than his World War II one. So this may be our first substantial evidence that the Red Skull is secretly in the new movie, & possibly supports the theory that Robert Redford's character is the Red Skull in disguise. This theory parallels the Winter Soldier story in the comics in many ways.

However, it is likely we will be seeing the yellow bee keeper A.I.M. Soldiers, as this figure's helmet does slightly deviate from the usual black visor look in the comics. What a treat! As news about the Winter Soldier continues to surprise us with more & more depth, the movie seems to be shaping up to be the Marvel movie we've all hoped for!

@TheGambit...

You sure that is the case here? They presented to figures just before, & after, with "comic" on the label. There is a chance it wasn't a mistake! Crossing fingers.

Maybe A.I.M have something to do with the creation of Ultron since Pym isn't going to have anything to do with him in Avengers 2.

@Varanus... I like that idea

Also, I dont remember seeing the AIM building in IM3. Maybe there are deleted scenes where they might have designed the yellow suit for the movie and it was just never shown.

Maybe Robert Redford's character is the Red Skull. In the comic, if I remember right, the skull is the one the winter soldier is working for. I do remember the soldier kills the skull, but not really lol

This doesn't mean that Red Skull is in the second movie. It might just be Red Skull from the first movie.

Knowing the Winter Soldier storyline in the books and some of the plot points we seem to have seen from the movie, I assumed from the beginning that Robert Redford's character was the Red Skull in disguise. I mean. he has said that his character is a bad guy, we know that he is a member of SHIELD, we know that Nick Fury seems to be on the run, we know that Arnim Zola is involved. I would be surprised if he WASN'T the Red Skull.

Spoilers?? (only if you haven't read the comic)

In the Winter Soldier comic arc. Aleksander Lukin was in command of The Winter Soldier, the first time we see the Winter Soldier in the comic he kills the Red Skull so Lukin can get the cosmic cube from the Red Skull. Lukin begins hallucinating and seeing the Red Skull because he's attached to the cosmic cube so to speak (hey remember The First Avenger where the Red Skull vaporizes when he touches the cube? hmmmm...) Eventually Lukin BECOMES the Red Skull and wear a mask etc. So I'm assuming Redford's character in The Winter Soldier movie is either Lukin or someone like Lukin. Either way he becomes the Red Skull.

Positive all the talk of the villains and how they "take over" SHIELD, plus AIM in Iron Man, has everything to do with Ultron. The way Whedon (for what reasons I have no idea) gushed about IM3, I wouldn't be shocked if Extremis played a part in it as well. God TWS is gonna be awesome!!!

They will need to spotlight Red Skull in the film but they will need a new actor first...
