UPDATE: First Pictures Of Chris Evans And Sam Jackson Filming Captain America In New York!

Thanks to Twitter's @Rcintron8, we have our first shot of Chris Evans and Samuel L. Jackson shooting in Times Square! But why is Steve Rogers wearing THAT... More pictures of the actors as well as Joe Johnston and S.H.I.E.L.D cars added!

Captain America: The First Avenger" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving.)

Hang on a second...isn't that what Chris Evans was wearing as Steve Rogers while filming the movie in Manchester, England? The outfit we know he's in after taking the super soldier serum! Strange...although the angle of this shot makes it somewhat tricky to tell whether the clothes are too small for him and as some of you have pointed out below, he appears to be wearings shoes!

UPDATE: Thanks to Daniel Wanderman, we also have the following picture of the Acura S.H.I.E.L.D vehicles.

UPDATE 2: And now, we have RealIrOnMaN to thank for the following picture which as you can see features Captain America: The First Avenger director Joe Johnston on the right of Chris Evans. I guess this confirms that it is indeed an after credits scene rather than early shooting for The Avengers.

UPDATE 3: And here's another couple clearly showing that Steve is NOT in the same outfit seen in the Manchester shoot, courtesy of "TheSpyAssassin" over at the SHH Forums...

Thanks to On Location Vacations for the early heads up on this filming!

With an all star cast which includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Tommy Lee Jones as Col. Chester Phillips, Stanley Tucci as Abraham Erskine and Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Captain America: The First Avenger will be released in 3D on July 22, later this year!

Man why can't SLJ actually look like NICK FURY instead of a copy of his SHAFT character?

Maybe he wears that suit underneath his costume when he was frozen, then after being unfrozen Nick Fury shows him around the modern world. Just a thought.

He is not barefoot or dirty Josh. The clothes could be a coincidence.

I think we're overthinking the reason why Evans is wearing what he's wearing. It's just a white t-shirt with tan pants and while it's what he was wearing in Manchester, I don't think the scenes are related in the slightest. Honestly, I think Sam Jackson just said, "Hey, put on this white tee and these tan pants and let's hit up Time Square."

Plus, in this picture, the tan pants are baggier and appear to actually fit him while he was wearing a smaller pair in Manchester.

he's wearing an eye patch..and Cap has on desert color camou pants with matching Boots

most likely it'll be like the scene in Ultimate Avengers..where he wakes up and kicks everyone's ass...Nick Fury tells ppl to let him get outside..he sees everything he faints...

We see Fury and Cap walking together in present day with Cap probably wearing those white-t shirts that have the shield logo on them

Nice find! My guess is this is post credits Captain America scene to help lead up the Avengers, either that or the end 'book mark.'

Speaking of the Avengers... Check out my The Hulk whenever u can!

Yeah, the clothes actually fit him, unlike the ones from the Manchester shoot.

I'm thinking that he has already been unfrozen, and Fury is showing him how much NYC has changed.

It's likely either the post credits scene, or the last scene of the movie (they said it'd have modern bookends).

Cap: Hmm, so this is the future?

Fury: Yep. U need a moment 2 soak it all in?

Cap: Nah, I'm cool...

Fury: ?

Cap: I do have one request though...

Fury: Ok... Well, what is it?

Cap: I'm carrying 66 years worth of sperm in my balls;
frankly thats way 2 much weight, if you catch my
jist...

Fury: Ahh. I have just the solution. Black Widow!

Hey guys I've posted my idea of the bookends, on the previous article about this scene posted by Josh. I've finished typing it, and now I've found this new article with new pics, it seems to me my ideas could be correct... I don't know if people are gonna read it from the previous article, so I'll post it here aswell...
I think the first book end/opening scene is gonna be Cap being found, and then unfrozen. He wakes up and finds himself in a S.H.I.E.L.D facility, but he thinks that it's still the 40's and he's been captured by Hydra... His concern for Bucky and everything else that has happened up till now has implicated his mind. He fights with many S.H.I.E.L.D agents and manages to escape only to discover what seems to be a new age, a new generation... Our hero, lost in time, roams the streets of New York bewildered by everything that catches his gaze. He aproaches a passer by saying "Where am I!"
Guy: "Why, you're in New York city buddy."
Cap: "New York? What year is this!"
Guy: "2011, where've you been dude?"
Cap: "No no! This can't be!"
He runs, runs to no end, his mind full of questions, and full of despair... He stops, standing in the middle of Times Square, we get a 360 shot of him, his face saying a thousand words... He glances at one of the big screens on top of a building, it advertises - STARK EXPO 2011 "Better Living Through Technology" and shows a picture of Tony Stark. Cap speaks only a name, "Stark." Cap kneels to the ground, he looks to the ground and says "What happened?" and then looks back up again. The camera zooms into his eyes and then the story of our hero begins... The final Bookend/final scene/post credits scene goes back to where the first bookend left off. We see many S.H.I.E.L.D vehicles surrounding Times Square, with agents coming out, ready to aprehend our hero. Nick Fury comes out of one of the vehicles and says to Cap - "Things have changed, the war is over..."
Please tell me what you think of my idea guys... :D Don't mind the speech it isn't the best, I had to rush u see. Oh and I think The Avengers should start off where the final bookend of Cap left off... :D

There's nothing wrong with SLJ as Fury, they based the 'Ultimates' version of Nick Fury on SLJ and that's why he's playing the part they based on him in the first place!
