Some recent set snaps of Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders led to speculation that production may have already commenced on the Captain Marvel movie, and while it's possible these scenes were actually being filmed for the Avengers 4 post-credits stinger, these new photos leave little doubt that whatever is being shot does tie-in to Carol Danvers' first big-screen adventure.

CAPTAIN MARVEL Star Brie Larson Is "Learning To Fly" In This New Behind-The-Scenes Image

The guys over at MCU Exchange (via Marvelous Brie Larson) have come across two snaps of Brie Larson strolling through the set. The Room actress is clearly trying to look as inconspicuous as possible here and is almost certainly not sporting her Danvers duds, but there's a decent chance we will get to see her in costume at some point as filming continues.

Captain Marvel flies into theaters next year.
