Olivia Wilde Responds To CAPTAIN MARVEL Fan-Casting
Olivia Wilde was never actually rumored to be up for the Carol Danvers role in Captain Marvel, but because so many fans would love to see her play the character, James Cordon quizzed her about it on his chat show. Has she had any contact with Marvel at all? Click to find out...
Olivia Wilde appeared on the James Cordon's Late Late Show along with Saoirse Ronan and Melissa Benoist, and the trio had a bit of fun with Jeb Bush's recent statement that the Supergirl actress was "pretty hot." Wilde quipped that was probably "the only thing he’s ever been right about," which led to Cordon quizzing her about the online chatter that she might be suiting up as a superhero herself.
It seems Wilde has heard the Captain Marvel "rumor", but insists there's absolutely nothing to it, and that she hasn't been in contact with Marvel at all. That said, she does seem pretty interested in the role. Irish actress Saoirse Ronan then says if she were to become a superhero, it'd be "Teagirl". Woman after my own heart.
Would Wilde be your pick for Captain Marvel? If not, who would you choose?
