Chris Evans is one of the most popular actors working today, and with the role of Captain America now in his rearview, he's currently working on reinventing himself. That's evident from his standout performances in movies like Knives Out, The Gray Man, and Lightyear, and he's currently in the midst of teaming up with The Rock for Red One (check out a first look here).
Now, though, Evans has received quite the accolade after being named People's Sexiest Man Alive 2022!
Asked by People how it feels, the always humble actor responded, "My mom will be so happy. She's proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about."
"It's something that as I become old and saggy I can look back on and say 'I remember then...'" Evans continued. "I'm lucky to be in the discussion in any capacity."
Shifting gears to talk about his career, the Avengers: Endgame star suggested he's looking to avoid any future long-term, MCU-style commitments. "When it comes to seeking out the people I play it's more of an issue of where the movie shoots. I'm too old to be living out of a suitcase for six months and I've settled into a nicer phase where I'm just happy being at home."
"The most enjoyable aspect of my career right now is feeling secure enough to take my foot off the gas," Evans continues. "I feel like I have a bit more freedom to take time away from the industry and still find projects that will satisfy my creative appetite when I return."
There continue to be rumblings that the actor will eventually reprise the role of Captain America, possibly in Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel Studios has yet to properly explain where Steve Rogers is after returning to the present day as an old man, though it's been strongly hinted that he passed away at some point.
