1.Escape from Krypton
This is the opening sequence and it is Simply breathtaking, to me this scene was akin to something out of star wars, and really brought out the sci-fi elements of the superman story. The erupting civil war as zod attempts a coup against a backdrop of a dying krypton is beautiful. That whole opening sequence brought different emotions to me it was exhilarating and showed the bravery of Jor-el. When zod killed him it was fairly sad too. it was so well done that i wanted it to go on further and for them to go backwards i can totally understand why they are making a limited series on Krypton.
2.first encounter with Krptonian
This part starts on the ship after superman meets Zod for the first time and it becomes pretty clear that the kryptonians have no intention of peacefully co-existing with earth. But it quickly ramps up and leads to the mexican stand off battle between superman and faora.
on a side note its great watching superman get his ass handed to him by faora, it showed everybody that wonder woman could be made and be bad ass.
3.Perry whites bravery
this scene reminded me that despite all the super powers and all the danger there was bravery for the humans. Its slightly nervy watching the World engine destroy everything and jenny olsen gets stuck but instead of leaving her behind perry white tries his hardest to free her to the point where it seems that he has put his life at stake too. I just thought that was a good thing to have in the movie.
4. Zods explosive heat vision
I love this moment, its also the moment that bruce wayne sees in BVS. As Zod chases superman his frustration builds up and is seemingly let out in the explosive heat vision. Its pretty great to see. I must have watched this section a dozen times. awesome moment. One thing i loved about this movie was how they showed all the different aspects of the heat vision, supermans blasts were mostly controlled but with zod its completely uncontrolled and angry kinda like zod.
5.First flight
what else? The moment he takes first flight takes it for me, it felt like i was watching man of steel find himself in the world.
