1. Bruce wayne-
The inclusion of Bruce wayne in the Movie is a huge bonus, all those people who initially complained about Ben affleck are being proved wrong. Having him be introduced in this film is genius as it essentially gives them the opportunity to skip the various reboot origin stories, it also brings a fresh dimension to proceedings, everytime i see him i am very curious to learn more about this batman and what he has been through. and also his bruce wayne too, the journey he has been on and where he is as a person right now. He is very watchable.
2. Clark Kent the reporter
sorely missed from man of steel, a big thing that most normal fans love is watching clark interact with humanity in the daily planet, its a great device to explore the human side of superman, which i felt was a missed opportunity in the last movie as he was essentially superman the whole time, but getting this side of him going to work and getting told of by perry white and even just the prospect of clark kent getting involved with the world as he does normally i feel is important for any superman film and it increased my excitement for this movie.
3.Relationship between Clark/Bruce- batman/superman
watching Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne go at each other in the trailer was pretty cool. One of the best things i liked about the avengers was the scenes were they are on shield ship talking to each other, I got that same feeling when i saw both of them in civilian clothes just talking and taking shots at each other. To me this moment brought the whole thing to life and its something we havent seen in any other trailers, even when lex luthor came in the humour was just right. Even at the end of the trailer when wonder woman jumps in and superman asks" is she with you?" and batman replies "i thought she was with you?" i just thought that was great and it made me smile. In man of steel this sort of exchange was missing,
i call it the wit and the charm. Its great to see that its been added here.
4. Imagery
Part of what i really love about everything i have seen regarding BVS is the imagery, some of it really, really sticks in the mind, the image of superman high above by the sun is compounded when the person stretches up into the sky suggestively begging to be saved, its so beautiful but its also so powerful. If a picture says a thousand words then this says so much and i remember it sparking thoughts in my head that in our world if there was someone like this people might like to him as some sort of saviour but to some people his lofty position above all of us could give the impression of someone thinking they far above humanity. but it does make superman willigness to help humans all the more powerful. Movies are called motion pictures for a reason and this movie is beautiful.
5. Wonder woman with the other members of the trinity
i loved her reveal even if it meant we got to see doomsday a tiny bit earlier than most of us would have liked, but its worth it because we got to see wonder woman. Her character looks like the comics and again looks like a factor that will add an air of intrigue as while most people know about wonder woman due to her iconic status we are interested to learn about this big screen characters origin and her journey to where she is at the moment and how it intersects with the trinity. but its great to see her in all her glory and she is exactly as you would imagine, gal gadot has a foreign quality to her that lends her well to the role.
6. Suggests Just the right amount of protagonists
To be honest i would have been disappointed if the movie was only just a dust up between superman and batman, its great to see the wider sub plots of clark kent v bruce wayne, clark kent vs batman ideologies too, lex luthor, doomsday and the cameos from wonder wonder woman. it suggests to me that this movie is multi-layered and will cover a good amount of ground which would be very satisfying. Im really curios about the journey of all these characters and the role each of them play, how does lex luthor figure in things exactly? what about wonder woman? how does she fit in? and how does the relationship between Bruce, Clark batman and superman evolve through the movie leading up to the other movies. if you combine all these factors then I think we are in for a very good Watch.
it just seems like all the niggly little faults of man of steel has been ironed out, the dialogue (wit and charm), the introduction of clark, the accountablity regarding the destruction, its all there. And the movie is two hours long and we have seen 3 minutes and some so far so there is so much to come.
thats my feeling on the current trailer, Between this Civil war, xmen apocalypse and suicide squad it should be a very good year for comic book fans, we are living in a golden age for fans lets just enjoy them all. Anyways be sure to leave your thoughts below, and if you like the article as always dont forget to give it the red thumb.
