The headline immediately triggers thoughts of Marvel vs. Capcom, but what it is in reality is the result of the musings of a couple of websites.

Both the Geek to Me column at Chicagonow.com and howstuffworks.com have raised the issue of whether or not Batman and Superman could take on members of the Jedi order. Geek to Me postulates that if Batman were armed with a light saber, he would be able to hold his own against Darth Vader, while howstuffworks.com pits Superman against a Jedi armed with a light saber that emits a Kryptonite-based energy blade.





So, if you've got nothing else to do, you're utterly bored and tired of counting the fibers in your rug, maybe you'd want to consider the question of who would win in these particular duels.

As much as I like Star Wars I say DC hands down! I think Superman could take them all by himeself let alone da whole DC universe! If we're talkin orginal, there wasn't even any Jedi's around. So I think DC.

@daConn True. But if we're talking straight up saber battle, I think Batman could hold his own. I'm not saying he would win, but he'd put up a hell of a Fight. These are my 2 all time favorite characters. I can't make up my mind who would win lol. Probably Vader though.

If we really want to get into the nitty gritty. If you put their worlds together. Batman would have force powers.Think about it. He would so have force powers he has the will and the tolerance to stay a jedi. I'm not saying he would win but i think with force powers he would be more badass then he really is.

WTF!!!

the flash with a killer instinct could speed past before most jedi could do anything.


lobo could kill any of the other bounty hunters with his healing factor.

doomsday could kill vader.

darkseid could take most.

sinestro core could take the sith

green lantern corps could take the jedi

the guardians are just as strong as yoda


the manhunters are stronger than the stormtroopers

the lanterns could conjure up constructs of other star destroyers or x wing fighters

cyborg could kill lando calrissian

wonder woman can kill leia

the metal men could kill 3p0

killer croc could take the sarlac monster

clayface could take jabba the hut

ares could take on count dooku

keep in mind many of the jedi were killed by their own clones easily.

Batman wouldn't last 2 seconds against a Sith or Jedi, a force choke is all it takes! Now put Bats against the Fett and you have yourself the makings of epicness!

Wow, I think vader would win in a straight up lightsaber duel. Batman can't sneak up on him and he'd just force choke the piss outta him. Sad but true, he'd kill his ass. Now if you gave Batman force powers....oh jesus that'd be OVERKILL. Vader would get all his limbs hacked off a 2nd time. Come to think of it. that'd be f%cking awesome.

Oh and ANY jedi over supes, he's a tool, lol.

Then Chuck Norris shows up and owns all. They proved that in The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny.

CoSmicHero - Unfortunately you can't win a duel to the death based on coolness. A Sith or Jedi in control of their power would destroy Batman. He wouldn't be able to hide or sneak up on his opponent and it would be game over, not even Bat nipples can save him.

Force powers would also work on Superman so he will have to be on his toes, but I think he'll beat most force sensitives.

All I care about is Legacy. I buy the collections, so I had to sit through the "Vector" crossover and that wasn't very enjoyable.

If they do this I just hope they don't force me to buy Cade Skywalker vs. Batman in order to follow the overall story. Acai Max Cleanse

some people seem to forget that darth vader has pretty much an entire galaxy of storm troopers, the death star, millions of ships, and the force on his side.
batman has alfred ( and maybe robin, nightwing, batgirl ect)
batman wouldent necessarily get the force, not everyone does. he would also need someone to teach it too him, otherwise he wouldent even know he had it.

Princess Leia vs Louis Lane! If we are talking movie versions from the 80s, it'll be a tough battle. It would be a battle of how many shots they could do or how many cigarettes they could smoke or who could do more coke or who could be skankier.

DC vs Star Wars-- DC would win because Star Wars and it's universe sucks and couldn't take the cast of Family Matters. No self respectin' DC character would get owned by any Star Wars girly-man, not even Aqua Lad.
