Face front, True Believers! Today you're going to hear one of the most unbelievable, out of this world stories you'll ever hear - Stan 'The Man' Lee's former executive assistant is filing a lawsuit against him for abuse and wrongful firing!

In November last year, Lee hired Shawn Lukaszewicz to set up and assist in the management of Lee's ComiKaze convention booth, which landed Lukaszewicz his "dream job in the entertainment industry". However, this reportedly quickly turned into more of a nightmare, with Lukaszewicz claiming that Lee visited the booth and told him that he had done a "shitty job" and that the booth was "f**king embarrassing". However, the Lee's (that is, Stan and his wife Joan Lee, as well as their daughter Joan Celia Lee) hired him as an Executive Assistant nonetheless.

According to Lukaszewicz's claims, things only got worse. His job included launching & managing social media sites, and running personal errands for the Lee family, which he was offered $40 an hour for 40 hours a week. However, Lukaszewicz claims the Lee family demanded his services be available 24/7, and he was not paid overtime for these extra requests. He claims that he was often abused by the Lee family for simply following instructions issued to him by the family, with one example being when Joan Celia Lee requested Lukaszewicz drop off some documents to the Lee household, and upon arrival, [Stan] Lee answered over the intercom "get the f**k out and never ring my damn doorbell again". Yikes. Lukaszewicz also claims that around the Christmas holiday period, his pay was cut from $40 an hour to a mere $25, and whenever he complained about the cuts, he would be reminded that he was "lucky to work for the Lee family and he should be thankful".
One other example given was when Lukaszewicz was driving [Stan] Lee to a meeting with renowned boxer Manny Pacquiao in April. The complaint filed by Lukaszewicz says "Stan Lee became very abusive towards plaintiff for driving too slow as Mr Pacquiao was about to depart to Las Vegas for his May 1, 2015 fight with Floyd Meriwether [sic: recte Mayweather]". According to Lukaszewicz, upon Pacquiao's failure to arrive for the meeting, Lee called Lukaszewicz a "f**king idiot" before going on to say "you wasted my time. Now everyone at the office thinks you are a f**ing asshole".

Yet another worrying aspect of Lukaszewicz claims is the wrongful nature of the termination of his employment. Lukaszewicz claims that while he was driving Joan Celia Lee to San Franciso, she spent the trip smoking marijuana. When she told him upon arrival at the hotel to drive a around the block with the windows down to get rid of the smell, he complained that he was not being paid for his time, to which she replied "get out of my f**ing car. You are done. You are done". She then reportedly abandoned Lukaszewicz in San Franciso with no money, and he had to make his own way back to Los Angeles.

It was also in June that Lukaszewicz was diagnosed with both Psychiatric and internal injuries related to his employment, which led to the lawsuit. Lukaszewicz is seeking punitive damages on 9 counts, and the Lee's have retaliated, by embarking on a "further course of disparaging plaintiff and accused him of criminal conduct.

If what Lukaszewicz is claiming to be true ends up being accurate, the Lee family could find themselves in a lot of legal trouble. Of course, there have been countless attempts in the past to sue celebrities and former bosses for fraudulent offences, and this may turn out to be no different, but only time will tell. More on this story as it develops, but in the meantime, be sure to hit that thumbs up, share and leave a comment below!

I always had doubts about him because of the stories told by Jack Kirby and co. But holy shit.

I hate reading these types of articles, especially when you don't put in all the info out there....

"Kirk Schenck, Attorney for JC Lee, said the former assistant’s lawsuit, “should never have been filed and will likely quickly be dismissed.” He said JC Lee had filed a separate lawsuit against the ex-assistant which involves allegations, “Mr. Lukaszewicz committed fraud, conversion and breach of contract against, and harassed and falsely imprisoned, JC Lee leading to his immediate dismissal.”

JC Lee claims in her complaint, also filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, that in June Lukaszewicz falsely imprisoned her in her car after driving her to San Francisco, then refused to let her exit the vehicle, while “yelling and threatening” and demanding she pay him his agreed driving fee of $700 plus his air fare back to L.A. She finally persuaded him to drive back to their hotel and release her after ten minutes.

JC Lee also claims in her court filing that Lukaszewicz, along with other defendants, conspired to cut her out of business deals and made at least one threat to file a Worker’s Compensation Claim unless he was paid $100,000 by Stan Lee.

Lee runs POW! Entertainment, also named in the suit. Company reps did not respond to us."

@chriskrispy

"holy shit" is a very accurate reaction. Just keep in mind that at this point in time, these are all merely claims and have yet to be proven true. Personally, I hope they aren't, because it would suck for the image of someone Ive looked up to from a young age ended up being a fraud. Only time will tell who is telling the truth in this story, I'm afraid.

Are we sure is isn't posted by a DC troll? 'Cause I never want to expect something like this outta my main man...

@ANewPope

The whole story isn't in the article, this is more of an attack against Lee than a representation of what's happening

@gusto I'm sorry, what's funny about that?

@DrKinsolving I'm sorry, but I've not seen that in any of the articles I read before writing my own (not claiming your info is wrong, merely explaining why it's not in her). What's your source, might I ask? I haven't got time at the moment, but I'll update the article in a few hours when I can get back to the computer

@Drkinsolving it's not an attack at all. At no point did I say Lukaszewicz was telling the truth, only what he claimed. I also pointed out at the end it could very likely be fraudulent. I simply have not seen the extra info you've posted in any of the articles I've read, at least not at the stage when I read them (whether they've been updated since is a different matter). I actually idolise Stan Lee, and have done so since a young age

@Gusto I was talking about the punitive damages by the way

Is the rest in your comment? If so, where's the source?

@DrKinsolving didn't think your info was wrong, was just saying why it wasn't in mine. I tend to steer clear of Fox, I don't read them often, I stick to other news outlets where possible.
Anyhow,I've only got access to my phone at the moment and it doesn't let me write articles on it, so I'll update soon (as soon as I am near a computer)

@DrKinsolving

In all fairness, I did research it. Maybe not as well as I normally would (it's 4am in Australia) but I did visit some of my usual sources, which I will be more cautious of after this now

So let's say all of the above is true. Your still then looking at a guy with average means going up against someone with a ton of cash for premium legal services. This fellow is doomed unless he's got a wicked wild card up his sleeve.
