Marvel Comics Promises All-Out Action And All-Out Adventure In New ALL-OUT AVENGERS Series

This September, a brand-new Avengers title is launching that promises to drop readers directly into the Avengers' most breathtaking missions with a star-studded cast of characters.

Written by award-winning novelist Derek Landy, known for his outstanding work in the recent Captain America & Iron Man limited series, and illustrated by Greg Land, All-Out Avengers kicks off in the middle of some explosive action as it races to a shocking climax. From page one, panel one, the Avengers will be knee-deep in adventure with no setup, no explanations, and no time for questions!

An alien attack. A missing piece of wormhole tech. A city warped, its citizens transformed into hideous creatures loyal to an Empress from the far side of the universe. And a certain Captain Marvel, looking to her fellow Avengers with murderous intent. That's the premise of the first issue, and you can check out a first look at what's to come in the teasers below.

"When Tom Brevoort approached me with this concept, I thought it was an inspired idea, a slice of creative genius, and also totally unworkable," Landy said. "But the chance to launch a new Avengers title, and the chance to write any character who'd ever been an Avenger, was impossible for this particular Marvel fanboy to resist. Add in the fact that Tom wanted to get Greg Land on art and my fate was pretty much sealed."

"The trick was to work within the confines inherent in the concept, but also to find a way to deliver what everyone would expect: a continuity of ideas and the development of an overarching storyline," he continues. "I needed to find the hook that drags the reader from issue to issue, and I figured the best way to do that was to put the Avengers in the exact same situation as the reader: they are aware that this is happening, but they don't know why."

Marvel Comics has tried this concept before with mixed results (Non-Stop Spider-Man didn't last very long), but this does sound like a lot of fun. These days, it feels like you need an encyclopedia to read some titles, so the prospect of being thrown into an action-packed adventure with a formidable group of Earth's Mightiest Heroes is an exciting one.

As noted, All-Out Avengers will launch this September. Take a look at the cover below and keep checking back here for all the latest on this upcoming title as we have it.

@OldMan - We were around here talking about how bad Liefeld was and someone brought that up. I was also shocked cause I don't read serial comics for many many years now and didn't knew the guy.

@Waddles - Google “Superman flying pose” and Thor definitely looks like the 6th image down. I would’ve inserted the picture instead but I don’t know how to do that from my phone.

Spider-man should never be on the avengers. Period. Frick off marvel lol. Don't know how to treat your own characters.

@TocharianMonk - They're hyping this as potentially featuring anyone who's ever been an Avenger. Like it or not, that includes Spidey.

@TocharianMonk - I disagree with you completely, he has had some good moments with them.

All Out Avengers coming out in November. I guess they didn’t want that title launching during Pride Month.

Poor dude gets his chance with a Marvel series and they saddle him with a true hack, Greg Land.

@Dotanuki - Googling the guy, I saw the website advertised original Greg Land art for sale.

Man... I kinda want the MCU to lean into recasting. I don't need Cap and Tony and the others to be the stars anymore, but it feels cheap to me that just because the actors are done with the roles that now we have to kill off these characters and they can't play parts in the world moving forward. Like I want to know Cap is still in the world, I wanna know Tony is still making questionable decisions. I wanna see them part of the team when they inevitably team with the X Men and Fantastic 4 and Eternals and Inhumans. Sure they can pull some multiverse high junks for one film to get Downey and Evans back for a moment in a some future MCU film which will be awesome, but I just want them to still be alive and influencing the world. Just background characters like hiw comics utilize them in stories where they aren't the focus.

Not even 1 token LGBTQ Avenger in the All-Out team?

@1stDalek - I may actually pick up this series then. Especially if they are actually interested in good story telling and action instead of tokenism like alot of the stories nowadays coming from Marvel.

@Cyclonus - Why would having a token gay in a book called All-Out, leaning into the obvious joke, would stop you from buying the book? It's not like adding Hercules or Deadpool would ruin the team.
