Marvel Comics will celebrate this year's Pride Month with another giant-sized one-shot showcasing some of the comic book industry's most iconic LGBTQI+ heroes in an incredible range of stories by LGBTQI+ superstars and emerging talent. Now, the final variant cover has been revealed for June's Marvel's Voices: Pride, this time by critically acclaimed artist Olivier Coipel.
Once again lending his extraordinary talents to Marvel's Pride Month celebration, Coipel's jaw-dropping cover showcases three of Marvel’s most prominent LGBTQAI+ heroes: The mutant speedster and first openly gay Marvel hero Northstar, divine warrior Angela, and breakout Young Avenger and star of Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, America Chavez.
That character will also be making an appearance in the upcoming Defenders Beyond comic book series. That's going to feature another LGBTQAI+ hero, Loki, as he assembles a new team of Defenders for a mission that will take them to the very limits of space and time (and beyond) as they confront questions about the very fabric of the Marvel Universe and tackle a threat no one is prepared for.
Northstar, Angela, and America Chavez are all iconic in their own right, so to see them assembled here is a real treat. While the latter is making her presence felt in Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange sequel, neither Northstar nor Angela have made their Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts quite yet.
