While she was was attending Saturn Awards, where she received the Producer's Showcase Award, Lauren Shuler Donner talked about the progress on the Constantine sequel. Even though we didn't hear a lot of news regarding the sequel she said that she hopes it will happen soon.

Here is what she had to say:

"We tried it, we always got there, and then we had a few bumps in the road. Keanu was involved with us, everybody was. We just had a few bumps in the road."

"We’re gonna try again...we heard a good take."

The 2005 comic book adaptation was directed by Francis Lawrence and many fans were left disappointed while other liked it a lot. I am one of those who really enjoyed the movie and I liked the direction of the film. Also Keanu Reeves did a good job as John Constantine in my opinion, and it still remains to see will he return or not.

The first film was a mediocre box office success, earning around $230 million dollars worldwide. So, what are your thoughts about a sequel? Would you like to see Keanu Reeves reprising his role of John Constantine or would you like to see someone else in that role?
