Well, what a five days that was! Kicking off last Wednesday and coming to an end yesterday, this year's San Diego Comic-Con was one of the biggest ever! While we didn't get any announcements from Fox about their upcoming comic book movie slate (Deadpoooooooooool!!!), confirmation about Warner Bros.' rumoured The Flash and Justice League movies or even Marvel's 2016 and 2017 plans, we DID get news on Batman/Superman and the reveal of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. And that's not all. There were trailers released, footage descriptions and props aplenty on display at the event and below you'll find what I believe to be the twenty biggest stories to have hit CBM this weekend. Agree? Disagree? Well, sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

We are aware that Flash and Justice League was all rumor and wasn't actually announced, right?

But damn I want my Flash movie.

It is rather a rare sight to see when WB/DC was the only studio that announced a new CBM. Irony at it's finest.

I think the way they're gonna do it, Ultron will somehow originate from Tony's mechanical 'dunce cap' wearing arm....

Hasn't he been calling it "U" for the past 3 movies? lol

Days of Future Past should be in top five instead of Spider-Man (even though Spidey is my favorite hero). Guardians and Cap footage should be top ten. Age of Ultron title should be number one. Here is why Batman/Superman should be number 2: Snyder is co-writing and Goyer is penning the screenplay. Does no one remember how shitty Goyer is? He has two good movies, Blade and Blade 2. He co-wrote the first two Nolan Batman movies. Keyword: Co-wrote. Snyder is co-writing the story. Ladt time Snyder has had writing credits, it was Suckerpunch. Therefore, Batman/Superman should be number 2 due to the writing team. Should be more worried than excited. Although, I'm still super pissed Hank Pym will not be in Age of Ultron which speaks for himself that Pym won't be Ultton's creator. I didn't mind the Mandarin twist cause it was a case of how can we make him work. Pym not being Ultron's creator is a way of shoving Iron Man's popularity down our throats like WB is doing for Batman. Whedon and Marvel just literally took away one of the most interesting parts about Ultron.

This negativity is diseasing this genre... Great comic-con, so many new things revealed, details on already announced movies from Marvel and Fox and announcements for very exciting new projects for DC. Win win win for all.

I actually think Liam McIntyre as a potential Batman/Bruce Wayne is a huge story (especially IF he lands the role).

Liam Mcintyre for Batman!!

Unfortunate for comic-cons everywhere, I think. While Marvel gave a lot for fans to geek over, they kept it close to the vest, and I think this means that Disney would rather control the big reveals themselves and not waste money and time at conventions. Time will tell if this trend will continue.
As for WB/DC, I say again the Supes/Bats thing was an act of desperation...look at what DC had to offer without it...absolutely nothing...except a veiled apology for the MOS ending with the "we'll address it" in the next movie...and oh yeah, it will feature the more popular and profitable Bats, as a stepping stone to the JL, cuz it might suck.more if we don't. Smells like someone crapped their pants at the WB/DC HQ. Don't get me wrong, I hope they can pull it off cuz if they don't there won't be a Flash movie and I want a Flash movie more than a JL movie, but it still all looks rushed and desperate to me.

@Crossbones

I'm right there with you on the Pym situation. Sure they could have handled the Mandarin twist better, but I enjoyed what it did for the plot because the conspiracy angle was interesting to me. Separating Ultron and Pym is not going to make the story more interesting. This story has so much potential to compliment the MCU and we're not going to get it because Wright wants to use Scott Lang (gag me) and Whedon's comfortable with Marvel's ever-dependable cash cow, Tony Stark, taking center stage as Ultron's creator... So their simultaneously dumping the chance to convince the general audience that Ant-Man deserves his own movie and losing the fans who were actually excited for an Ant-Man film... Ant-Man's solo picture is destined for failure...

WHAT?! No love for the G-man?

Godzilla footage and news should be number 2!!! Age of Ultron announcement is lame. Both logo and title is lame.

Ultron as main villain is lamer!

The Biggest new of Comic Con was MOS 2/Worlds Finest. None of us saw it coming. As i DC fan i was bummed out thinking WB wont announce Shit execept Maybe MOS 2. The fact that they'e finally taking a step into building a Shared DC universe caugh all of us by surprise. This is WB/DC were talking about here! As far as Marvel Goes, Is there anything remotely surprising about Marvel Studios anymore? Avengers 2 was anounced the minute The Avengers shattered box office records. The only surprise is that Ultron is the villain. We all know a Black Pather movie is in development. We all know Dr. Strange, Ant-Man etc are all getting movies. I honestly didnt think we get a Worlds Finest movie as soon as 2015.

Age Of Ultron & Guardians of the Galaxy trumps the Superman/Batman news. Can we actually call that news? This movie has been in preproduction since 2002. WB has just been sitting on their asses waiting for someone else (Marvel) to do a successful Superhero team up before they put any faith in it.

Superman/Batman team up was the only way for WB to go. Put their two successful characters together. even without doin' a JLA movie they will do money with these two. MOS has made over 600 mil world wide so far, and TDKR made over a billion (and without the hate, I don' see how it made that much), so yeah a billion should be made off this movie. The biggest news?? No, it really was the only move they had to make at this time.

As I said yesterday, based on the media coverage I have been monitoring, your 1and 2 are flipped. Ultron was getting a big push in US and foreign press. More so than Batman/ Superman. This doesn't mean that DC got shoved into the closet.
