Joe Carnahan Reveals Who He Would Have Liked To Play DAREDEVIL
Joe Carnahan (The A-Team) came very close to helming a reboot of Daredevil for 20th Century Fox before the rights ended up reverting to Marvel Studios. On Twitter last night, the filmmaker has revealed the actor who he thinks would have been "tremendous" for the role.
Earlier this year, it looked as if Joe Carnahan (The Grey) would be bringing a Frank Miller inspired take on 'The Man Without Fear' to the big screen in a reboot of Daredevil for 20th Century Fox. Unfortunately, those plans fell through when Marvel Studios got their hands back on the rights to the character, although Carnahan hasn't completely left the world of comic books behind after recently beginning work on an adaptation of Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's Nemesis. Taking to his official Twitter account (@carnojoe) last night, the filmmaker told CBM's own @TheAlexLynch97 who he thinks would have been a good choice for the role of Matt Murdock.
Joel Edgerton is best known for his impressive turn in Warrior, although you may also recognise him from Star Wars and The Thing. Carnahan doesn't say that the actor was ever up for the role, but it's still interesting to wonder what might have been. What do you guys think about this news?
