More From Kevin Feige On DAREDEVIL; Possible X-MEN/AVENGERS Crossover

While chatting to Empire's Chris Hewitt on a DISS Google hangout, the Marvel head honcho is asked more about the company's recent re-acquisition of the Man Without Fear. He also comments of something many fans would like to see -- the Avengers and the X-Men together on the big screen.

The entire vid is worth a watch, as Feige discusses various things such as Guardians Of The Galaxy, Ant-Man, and how far they plan ahead with the studio's "phases". But the Daredevil stuff comes in around the 13:50 mark, with Feige giving us an idea of what comic runs we could see adapted when Marvel finally get around to bringing Matt Murdock back to the screen..,be in big OR small!



"Daredevil is back at Marvel, and there are lots of talented people figuring out what to do with him next. We love Daredevil, there are amazing stories -- the Bendis run over 5 or 6 years, running into a Brubaker run was amazing. All sorts of things before that era we could use -- so I think you can bet on seeing SOMETHING from Daredevil in the not to distant future."


Feige also comments on rumors of an eventual crossover with Fox's X-Men. Unsurprisingly there doesn't seem to be much happening there, but as a fan it's something he would like to see. "In terms of an X-Men crossover, there are certainly no plans now -- I never say never to things like that, but I don't think it'll be anytime soon", Feige says, before joking that it'll be "Phase 27" before we see that happen.

YES! Come on already, bring on some Daredevil. He deserves and so do we. I dont want some cheaply made show with songs by the Goo Goo Dolls and The Calling at the end of each show that would just get cancelled anyway. Give him some justice and bring on the movie.

That sucks, i would have liked to seen personalities clash between the X-Men and Avengers.

Just imagine Wolverine (practically immortal) have an argument with Thor or even better, a fight with Hulk on screen.

Magneto against Iron Man.

Beast, Professor Xavier, Dr Banner and Tony Stark sharing ideas etc.

The possibilities of EPICNESS witnessed on screen would be endless!

Im deadset against a X-Men / Avengers crossover. The two universes dont work together. Its clear from the movies AND Agents Of SHIELD, superhumans have only been appearing in the 21st century where in X-Men, their existence has been known since the 60s. Plus the X-Men continuity is horrible, I dont want the near perfect continuity of the MCU tainted by that.

Face it, theres never gonna be a crossover with the current iteration of the X-Men. I suppose a total reboot of the X-Men would fix that but would Marvel trust working with a studio which puts out mediocre movies half the time (and no jokes about Marvel are used to putting out mediocre movies! haha).

Yeah, I think Feige's joke comment of Phase 27 could ironically be prophetic, because it will potentially be then when Marvel will either get desperate to crossover with Fox, or they will finally have the rights back to X-Men or it will be that time that Fox will finally be putting out more good movies than bad and Marvel will begin to trust them

I think Daredevil is really difficult to do solo. His abilities really aren't that cool. So he's batman with a law degree and uses a billy club instead of a batarang. A cool costume for sure but that's it. Maybe supporting cast in a future project with the Punisher.

I hate when people say "they don't have cool powers so don't Give them a movie." By the way Daredevil is more than just Batman with a law degree. He is blind and I think that gives him one of the coolest power sets. He can beat up bad Guys while being blind. That's pretty awesome.

*sigh* more fanboy whining about how such-and-such character "deserves" a film instead of TV. *sigh*

NO character "deserves" a film. That's just stupid. I love Wonder Woman, I think she "should" get a movie, but I would not go so far as to say she "deserves" a movie. And I'm sorry, but Daredevil is at best a B-list character and most definitely does not "deserve" a movie. And frankly, he is one of those characters, like Green Arrow, who would probably be better served by a TV show.

The whole Phase 27 thing is a joke people.Look,Feige is not gonna be at Marvel forever.People in Hollywood move on to new challenges all the time.If Fox has a real hit with DOFP and FF that set up a rival shared universe the brass at Marvel may decide to do a crossover after Avengers 3 because that is more profitable then putting out Black Panther and Doctor Strange movies.

Now when we have timetravels in X-Men movies it's easier to make crossover where X-Men would be in the same universe as Avengers. FOX should let Jackman play Wolverine in Avengers .
