Chris Pratt plays Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, but could he become one of only a handful of actors to be part of both the Marvel and DC Universes?
There are certainly plenty of DCU characters that The Super Mario Bros. Movie star could bring to life under DC Studios' watch. James Gunn, meanwhile, has already expressed an interest in enlisting some of the Marvel actors he's worked with once he begins casting the upcoming movies and TV shows that make up "Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters."
Talking to CBR, Pratt said that while he's open to joining the DCU, the fans probably know better than he does when it comes to who he could play.
"As far as DC characters pan, I don't know. I will let the fans tell me what they would want me to do. I don't have anything official to announce. I haven't spoken to James Gunn in any capacity to where he's offered me anything like that. But listen, I love the guy. You know, he's one of my best friends. I totally believe in him. And if he calls me, I am answering."
Booster Gold, anyone?
As for whether he's talked to the DC Studios co-CEO about his new gig, Pratt added: "Of course, I've spoken to him. You know, I'm really happy for him, with the developments in his career. I think DC is super lucky to have him in that position. It's hard for me to imagine a person, a better person for that role. He just loves comics. He's so smart. He's such an auteur."
"We're obviously super, super pumped for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to come out," the actor concluded. "It's truly a masterpiece."
Chances are Pratt will continue playing Star-Lord beyond the upcoming Marvel Studios threequel, but the franchise's future after Gunn's MCU departure is currently unclear.
Who do you think he could play in Gunn's DCU?
