DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS - Here's The Latest On Ryan Reynolds' Rumored Deadpool Cameo

As rumours continue to swirl about the possibility of Ryan Reynolds showing up as Deadpool in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we have an update that may bode well for fans of Wade Wilson...

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds recently shot down the rumour that he'll make a cameo appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, though he wasn't particularly convincing! As a result, many fans remain convinced this sequel will be where the Merc with the Mouth makes his MCU debut.

Online scoopers don't seem to be able to agree about whether this cameo is happening, but The DisInsider Show's Derek Cornell recently compared Reynolds' denial to Andrew Garfield repeatedly saying he wouldn't be in Spider-Man: No Way Home. "Well, Ryan Reynolds is pulling an Andrew Garfield right now, so we'll see," he said before co-host Skyler Shuler added, "Deadpool's in it."

It's worth pointing out that Cornell and Shuler were the first to report that Hayley Atwell's Captain Carter will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, something that was seemingly confirmed by the movie's poster. They've also previously teased plans for Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Loki stars Owen Wilson and Sophia Di Martino, but time will obviously tell on that front.

It makes all the sense in the world to introduce Wade Wilson in Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange sequel. Unlike the X-Men, it doesn't appear as if the plan is to reboot the character, so pulling him into the MCU from another reality (with a few members of his supporting cast) would arguably be the easiest way to make Reynolds part of the Marvel Studios family without invalidating his previous adventures.

If a Deadpool cameo is happening, expect it to remain under wraps until the movie arrives in theaters as we're sure, like the two Spider-Men, Marvel Studios will want this to blow fans' minds.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters on May 6!

If he makes an appearance, I want it to be during Doctor Strange's falling through the multiverse sequence. Kinda like this one:

I usually love speculating about cameos but this one just makes the most sense to happen...and doesn't excite me at all.

Make it classic Marvel movie actors like Ioan Gruffud, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans, Nic Cage, Tobey Maguire, Thomas Jane, Ray Winstone etc

Deadpool will be the end credit scene (maybe mid credit but he fits better at the end).

He will be in the rubble of Gargantos’ attack at Christine’s wedding and pick his head up and brush himself off and make some sort of quip and gag and comment how “he isn’t in Kansas anymore Toto”.

Take it to the bank.

@kg8817 - I could see him saying something like "I don't think I can drop F bombs in these movies."

Right I get its called 'Multiverse of Madness' but has anybody asked "Why would Deadpool be in it?"

And yes Doctor Strsnge has appeared in Deadpool stuff in the past, but why would he be in this.

@TheDpool - It's apparently a credits scene (either mid or end), so not part of the main plot, and it's just to show that Deadpool has officially entered the MCU

@lordSTALE - he’s probably just going to be sitting in a couch and say “See, I’m in it”, cut to black.

@TheDpool - They can just show DPool entering the MCU from his previous reality. It's a quick explanation for how he would get to the MCU. He rrally doesn't even need to talk. Just show him fall in the background.

I don't think anyone expects DPool to have any kind of major part in the movie.

I think he kind of has to be in it. Deadpool is confirmed to be joining the MCU and this film is the opportunity to bring him across and then never talk about it again haha.

A universe where The Illuminati is all Deadpool variants, TVA refuse to even go there

As Bruce Campbell said, they reshot so much of the movie, that nobody knows what's in and what isnt.

Deadpool appearing in Doc Strange is NOT on the same level as the two Spider-Men appearing in NWH.

@WruceBayne - But its the only way to connect the previous dead pool films to the Mcu so its obvious it will happen because it has to

WruceBayne - 2/28/2022, 2:52 PM
@TheCoonII - oh absolutely. I don’t doubt that it won’t happen, I was referring to that last part of the article when Deadpool’s cameo was compared to the NWH spectacle.
