Tickets for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are now available, and Marvel Studios is pulling out all the stops to make sure we know it! Today, there's been a revealing TV spot and a whole heap of posters, and they've now been followed by even more amazing new content.
In a one-minute promo for the movie, we get to see more action from the Doctor Strange sequel, including a haunting shot of an undead Variant of the former Sorcerer Supreme. It feels like Marvel Studios is keeping a lot under wraps, though director Sam Raimi has confirmed during an interview with Fandango that, "[America Chavez] actually comes from another universe." We suspected that might be the case, of course, and it lines up with several recent plot leaks.
With this TV spot comes another poster, and we'd argue that it's probably the coolest effort yet. We can't see any new reveals in those shards, but The Illuminati is shown from a distance.
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki Head Writer Michael Waldron.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.
