DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Promo Art Reveals TWO Stephen Strange Variants - Possible SPOILERS

The latest Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness promo art appears to confirm the identities of two Stephen Strange Variants in the movie, while we also get a new look at Master Mordo and Rintrah.

More promo art for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been released, but this looks to be the most revealing batch yet. As you can see below, it's now seemingly been confirmed that we'll see at least two Doctor Strange Variants along with the MCU's Stephen Strange.

The first is Doctor Strange Supreme from What If...? and the second is Defender Strange. That's a character who has been featured heavily in merchandise, and this appears to debunk theories that the former Sorcerer Supreme is getting a new costume and persona. Whether this "Defender" is a friend or foe remains to be seen, but Master Mordo (also featured here) is another suspected Variant.

After Loki and What If...?, Marvel Studios is clearly doubling down on the idea of multiple realities and different versions of the same character. Sam Raimi seemingly plans to take us on an utterly bonkers ride, anyway, and we're expecting to see even more from the sequel during the Super Bowl.

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.

Is it really a spoiler if it's promotion art? I know everyone has different opinions on what a spoiler is but if the movie is actively putting out promotion art with these "spoilers" how is anyone supposed that's a spoiler.

I think of a variant of Stephen Strange known as Druid.

I was hoping Raimi would get the costume even closer to the comics, yellow gloves, black pants, but this is fine

@Dredd97 - the gloves looked very wonky in the after credits scene. Just didn’t translate

Anyone remember this Dr Strange rip off from the early 90s?

So bad it’s hilariously good.

@AnthonyVonGeek - If I remember right that was originally planned to be a Dr Strange film but when they couldn’t get the rights they just changed all the names. Man I do love Jeffrey Combs tho. It would be cool if he cameoed as a variant Strange.

@BloopBlorp2 - If I remember correctly, they originally had the rights but the plans eventually fell through, so they edited the script after to make it something new.

I still don't think this "Evil Strange" is the same from What If. What If gave a full arc for the character and making him appear in MoM would be a disservice to him. IMHO this Strange is ANOTHER variant, maybe an evil version and the What If One is kinda a Watcher taking care of that pocket dimension that Killmonger and Arnim Zola are fighting over the Infinity Stones.
