Sigh. We knew this was bound to happen once the floodgates were opened with the Johnny Depp thing, but now every site and blog out there claim to know which actor Marvel want for..a movie without a script or a director. Anyway, here's the latest rumor doing the rounds.

So This Is Infamous.com claim to know for certain that Marvel have gone with Mad Men actor Jon Hamm for the role of Dr. Steven Strange.

"And for all the conjecture that’s been thrown out about who’d be a good fit in the role, all the jockeying for inclusion in the blossoming MCU by actors and their representation and all the non-stories about meetings that went nowhere, our sources indicate to us that the guy Marvel has set up to play Doctor Stephen Strange is none other than JON HAMM.

That’s right… the man we’ve come to know as MAD MEN’s Don Draper has been cast as the Sorcerer Supreme and Master of the Mystic Arts.


This is very unlikely to be true of course..but I suppose there's always a chance. Anyway, there ya go. Would you like to see Hamm take the role?

You know, all these shot-in-the-dark rumors of Doctor Strange, knowingly that there is no confirmation of a director, it make me curious... If the time traveling stuff is true.... Does that mean when Pym is surfing through time, he'll meet Doctor Strange? Could make for an exciting cameo.

^Because most of those rolls require him to do multiple outings. Hamm has been in the business awhile.... Once you hit a certain age, you don't want to be tied to multiple features. Understandable. If it was like a villain role, he'd do it. He just has a lot on his plate to to multiple films along with Mad Men. Anyways, Marvel is looking for Strange to be their new poster boy.... Hamm is not it.

Well not if you WANT them to get to main eventually no, but the whole reason I posted this is so that someone else wouldn't, giving it even half a chance of winding up on main. Anyway, there's still more care taken with this article than the one's you DID send to main on a regular basic..but I digress..

Jon Hamm as Dr. Strange...not bad I guess. Younger, good actor, will cost much less. But I like Depp more for the part if they go older. But all this is just rumors, how can a movie without a script or anything in that matter start casting people for roles.

First Look At Bill Paxton As 'John Garrett' On AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Seems familiar. And I find it really funny you call that a method. Just look at any of the other editors articles for an idea if you're unsure what a true method is.
