'Spider-Man' Tom Holland Swings By DOCTOR STRANGE Set In New BTS Photos
Let the speculation commence as some new photos have surfaced from the set of Doctor Strange with another look at what could be the Sorcerer Supreme's Sanctum Santorum, plus Spider-Man actor Tom Holland and some of the creative team behind the Marvel adaptation.
Principal photography is well underway on Doctor Strange, Marvel’s second Phase Three movie, and the studio has surprisingly allowed executive producer Louis D'Esposito to post some neat behind-the-scenes photos on Twitter from the set in England. In addition to what could be a set piece for Stephen Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) Sanctum Santorum, the photos also feature director Scott Derrickson and the actor who’s taking over the role of Spider-Man, Tom Holland.
Does this mean we’ll see the new Spider-Man swing by during Doctor Strange’s cinematic debut? Probably not! However, before Tom Holland was confirmed to make his debut as the Web-slinger in Captain America: Civil War, rumors and heavy speculation had suggested that Doctor Strange was the Phase Three movie in which Spidey would appear before his 2017 standalone movie. Anyhow, additional set photos from Louis D’Esposito further confirm the inclusion of Sinister co-screenwriter C. Robert Cargill as well as cinematographer Ben Davis and production designer Charles Wood who both worked on Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron. So, check out the pics below!
Directed by Scott Derrickson, Doctor Strange so far stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Stephen Strange), Rachel McAdams (Christine Palmer), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Baron Mordo), Amy Landecker, Scott Adkins, Michael Stuhlbarg (Nicodemus West), with Tilda Swinton (The Ancient One) and Mads Mikklesen, and the long-awaited movie is currently scheduled to open in theaters on November 4, 2016.
