ETERNALS Blu-ray Release Date Revealed Along With Special Features And Deleted Scene Descriptions

We finally have a release date for Eternals on DVD and Blu-ray following that recent Disney+ announcement, and that comes with details on special features and deleted scenes. Check them out right here...

It was recently confirmed that Eternals will debut on Disney+ for no extra charge on January 12. However, for those of you holding out for a physical release, it's now been revealed that the movie is coming to DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on February 15.

As per usual, there will be a whole host of special features and deleted scenes, all of which we'd expect to be added to Disney+ at some point. Here's what to expect:

Special Features

  • Audio Commentary – View the film with audio commentary by Chloé Zhao, Stephane Ceretti, & Mårten Larsson
  • Immortalized – Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe launches into the cosmos with the Eternals. In this behind-the-scenes documentary, dive deep into the reasons why Marvel wanted to immortalize these superheroes for the MCU.
  • Walks of Life – Eternals unveils Marvel's biggest and most diverse lineup of SuperHeroes in one film. Hear reactions from the cast on being involved in the film and the instant sense of camaraderie that was felt on the day they all joined each other in their costumes.
  • Gag Reel – Watch some of the hilarious mishaps of the charming cast and crew.

Deleted Scenes

  • Gravity – Phastos and Jack have a conversation that leads to a breakthrough.
  • Nostalgia – Sprite and Makkari reminisce about humankind while overlooking the ruins of Babylon.
  • Movies – Gligamesh and Kingo connect over movies while crossing the Amazon River with the rest of the team.
  • Small Talk – Sprite confronts Dane in the museum about his interactions with Sersi.

There's nothing particularly mind-blowing here, and those deleted scenes don't sound like they'll make much of a difference to the movie (hence why they were left on the cutting room floor). It should still be fun to check them out, and that Audio Commentary could include some interesting reveals.

Eh, from what I’ve heard, I’ll just watch it for free on D+. If it’s anything like Black Widow and Shang Chi it’s not worth the extra cash.

@Tasmaniac - it’s significantly worse than both those movies, but if you can’t afford to see Shang chi in the theatre then you need to get your priorities straight. That movie was great.

@CaptainMexico - What? Lol. I think I can manage 18 bucks, but thanks mate lol. The truth is I just didn’t have time. But when I saw it in D+ I was glad I didn’t waste my money. It had the exact same problem with it as with Black Widow: It had no idea what it wanted to be. It was definitely better than the formulaic bore that was BW, and the acting from the leads was good - great in fact from Shang and his father - but it ended up just another CGI shitfest. Fair dinkum, someone needs to tell Kevin’s Feige to stop with that shit. Seriously. Just [frick]ing stop. Get your story straight for characters like BW and SC and you don’t need it. It actually makes no sense for them at all. It’s just bullshit. Complete bullshit.

@Tasmaniac - super hero movies with less wild CGI? That’s not what the people want. The stories are good too. Black widow didn’t rely to heavily on cgi until the end. CGI is a huge industry and one that employs many people I know personally. Actually marvel uses many studios in Canada where I live. I think losing the “bs cgi sequences” would be a hugely unpopular decision.

It's a shame that 3D versions are either hard to find and/or very expensive now.

This, Black Widow and Shang-Chi are the best movies of 2021, not dogshit like Venom 2 which it's insult that this movie did better at the box office and got better reviews than Eternals which was a far much superior film.

@John456

I left the theater thinking this was easily bottom 3 MCU.
