We're just days away from Eternals hitting cinemas across the globe (Friday, November 5), and last week, we sat down for a brief chat with Barry Keoghan to discuss his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Druig. The movie obviously boasts a massive ensemble cast, so we were curious whether the actor recalls any scenes that ended up on the cutting room floor.
"I did a few good stunts that I don’t think made it, probably for the right reasons," Keoghan says in the video below. "We do see some stunts I did do myself, but there were a few more that were kind of cool I hope people see."
It's definitely interesting to think that what sounds like a key action scene for Druig didn't make it into the movie, though we're sure Marvel Studios will eventually share that. After all, it's not uncommon for action beats like these to be trimmed down or cut, especially if it helps the flow of the story.
Of course, talking about that A-List cast, we also wondered what it was like for Keoghan to shoot that already iconic shot of the ten heroes arriving on Earth for the first time near the start of Eternals. "And me not in it [Laughs]. Just slightly out of it," he joked before adding that filming it was "Not as easy as it looks. I mean, I’m on the edge of a cliff in the Canary Islands. Well, not the edge of a cliff, I’m dramatizing that, but it’s definitely an iconic shot, man."
We're confident you guys are going to love what you see from Druig in the movie, and in our interview, the actor also talks about making the leap to the DCEU for The Batman, what it was like inhabiting a character who is thousands of years old, and a whole lot more besides.
