Eternals feels like a considerably more secretive movie than Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and with a little less than two months to go before it's released, we've already seen the final trailer!

Something tells us Marvel Studios has some major surprises planned, with Kit Harington's Dane Whitman one of the biggest mysteries right now. Better known as Black Knight in the comic books, it's hard to escape the feeling that there are big plans in place for the hero; talking to Total Film, the Game of Thrones alum teased exactly that.

Describing Dane as "the human character of the story," Harington adds: "He’s not an Eternal. He’s a character who works with the Natural History Museum in London. But he’s not an Eternal - that’s the main takeaway!"

"I’ve got no idea whether my character goes on or not," he noted when pushed for details on his possible MCU future. "I had read up on who he could be, or might be. So there’s the possibility for a longer trajectory. And hopefully, I think this is the tip of the iceberg for my character. I hope. But I just don’t know, you know? I’m as in the dark as anyone else. And I try not to live too far ahead in the future with anything. Even when I was in Game of Thrones, even on the sixth season, I presumed the seventh season wasn’t going to happen!"

In the same interview, Harington addressed reports that Dane is part of a love triangle with Gemma Chan's Sersi and Richard Madden's Ikaris. "I think there’s been a few things said about that in the press," the actor explained. "I wouldn’t say that a lot of it is accurate. But he has a connection with Sersi, as does Richard’s character."

In the comic books, Black Knight ends up joining The Avengers alongside Sersi, but it's possible Marvel Studios plans to take the slow burn approach to both that and the relationship between these characters. However, it would definitely make sense for him to suit up for the first time in this upcoming Phase 4 movie.

We'll have to wait and see, but Eternals arrives in theaters on November 5, later this year!

Rather see him join Excalibur. The plans are probably still years away, but I do assume Marvel has them for the previously Fox owned propertirs

He was pretty good in a Rom-com episode in that new amazon show Modern Love?

Seriously, when are we gonna get Marvel's first Rom-com? They've been surprisingly sexless franchise... A good thing?

The D+ shows have been pretty out there & I think the WandaVision Relationship has been one of its stronger emotional cores.

They wouldn't present this character in this film if they didn't have more plans for him. Marvel doesn't do things by chance.

@Origame - Shang chi should get the Kung POW treatment, make the kabuki ninja super obnoxious like Wimp Low “Making it rain henchmen huh? Get off my bamboo!” “Haha!” “You’re so immature, I’m telling, NYAH!”

@Origame - That was the main part that I hated if I hated any of it, also the screaming tongue, but for the most part I cracked up like an idiot

@Waddles - after so long of waiting, I think that was just a joke. Really wish it was happening though. It taught me a valuable lesson about iron claws.

THEY HURT LIKE CRAP MAN!

@Waddles - well, I won't judge how you choose to maintain marriage.

Jk, congrats on the 15. Hope for plenty more

The main Avengers storyline with Dane and Sersi had a mad variant of the Black Knight using the power of a Fallen Watcher to collect variants of Sersi, the woman who spurned his love, and add their power to his own.

It’s not like they’re in a position to do anything like that, are they?

Super excited for his future in the MCU as Dane! This dude has been through a lot since the end of GoT, so it's awesome to see him get back on track with another good role.

I was excited to see Harrington play the Black Knight, and hey he may just be playing coy, but does he know what the MCU is?

"I had read up on who he could be, or might be. So there’s the possibility for a longer trajectory."

Yeah chances are unless your character passed the sword on you'll be seen again pal.
I know it must be hard for the actors playing coy but come on, remember the red carpet event when Bradley Cooper acted like he had no idea who Rocket was but was sure he could take on the Hulk.
