As WWE fans will no doubt recall, a rumor did the rounds online earlier this year which claimed that former Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch (real name Rebecca Quinn) had joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an undisclosed role.

The rumor seemed to stem from fans catching glimpse of an actress who looked a lot like Lynch on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and although "The Man" would later deny her involvement, it's now come to light that she actually did film a scene for an entirely different Marvel Studios movie.

Fightful has learned that the Irish Superstar, who recently made her return to the ring at Survivor Series War Games after a brief injury hiatus, shot an unused post-credits sequence for Eternals. Though details are sparse, the scene is said to have been scrapped because it was deemed "too depressing."

While the scene in question may never see the light of day, sources have indicated that the studio higher-ups were "very happy" with Lynch's portrayal, and there's a chance she could return for a future project.

This is a very interesting development, as it seems highly unlikely that Lynch would be brought in to play a random minor character. An Eternals sequel has yet to be officially announced, but the mid-credits scene they did use laid the groundwork Blade, so perhaps whoever "Big Time Becks" played was tied to the upcoming reboot?

With any luck, we'll learn more about this soon, but for now, be sure to share your theories with us in the comments.

If it isnt corny or goofy cut it out or a desperate attempt at a joke for laughs then cut it out. Cant have any seriousness in these funny book movies

Wasn't it reported already the original ending of the Eternals was more depressing? The one in which all the Eternals characters ended back on the ship, their minds erased and just going to another planet to start the process of preparing that planet and its inhabitants for destruction all over again. Eros just shows up as another Eternal with them instead of getting a grand entrance like he did in the reshot mid-credits scene.

Perhaps this role Becky Lynch had was as another Eternal, like Eros and she just appears with them as another mind-wiped Eternal. OR she was a cosmic character that popped up like Eros did to set up the next Eternals adventure. Could be Chloe Zhao kept parts of the bleak ending by just transferring Eros from mind-wiped Eternal to receiving the grand entrance at the end which was originally designated for Becky Lynch's character.

Eternals was good and nowhere near deserving the status of "Marvel Studios' worst movie."

Off-topic: @KingPatel Here are the official stills for the Season 3 finale of Stargirl for when you do the article for it during this weekend.

And BTW please use the promo video for the finale from TV Promo because the ones from The CW don't play for everyone. TV Promo's always do.

Wait… why is it ‘highly unlikely’ that some wrestler would be playing a minor role?

Isn't there a gladiator Eternal in the comics? Don't remember her name, but I could see her as that Eternal

She did a really good job playing Cyndi Lauper in an episode of Young Rock. She nailed the voice and mannerisms perfectly. She can definitely act so I expect it’s only a matter of time before she makes a bit of a name for herself in TV shows and / or movies.
