Among the many stars of Marvel's The Avengers movie, one that you may not have heard much about is English actress Jenny Agutter, whose "Council Member" role in the highly anticipated movie was first revealed via IMDB. Agutter, who has starred in Child's Play 2, Logan's Run and An American Werewolf in London, recently discussed the Joss Whedon-directed film with Radio Times magazine, for the first time.

“I’m sworn to secrecy! I wasn’t allowed a script until I got there, and when I did, I felt like a complete child being on big sets and a huge parking lot full of Winnebagos.”

She does let slip that two of these housed Spider-Man and Iron Man; we suspect Agutter won’t be able to avoid sci-fi conventions for much longer.

Not much is known about Agutter's "Council Member" role other than she reportedly interacts with Samuel L. Jackson's 'Nick Fury,' Scarlett Johansson's 'Black Widow,' and Tom Hiddleston's 'Loki.' I hear she's among council members who Fury presents The Avenger Initiative to. Anyhow, what do you think?

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; and “Thor 2” on November 15, 2013.

I hope she's a member of the Shadow Council!

Then we could have a spin-off Secret Avengers live action TV series! You wouldn't even have to get the actors who play in the films, you could just have a partial continuity (where two stories seem to be connected but never say completely yay or nay) with different actors play Cap, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. But if they could get the actors from the films, bring them on... :) But we need a Secret Avengers Live Action TV Show! ;)

Intruder I have no idea... lol these sites CBM has to report from needs to get their act together and use direct quotes if they can't paraphrase correctly. Remember when Maria Hill had superpowers? :P

Oh and BTW for those wondering why Nick Fury is pointing a gun at Sharon and is part of the Shadow Council, it's because he's not Nick. His name is Max Fury, a LMD which accidentally came to life and has all of Fury's memories. He now is the sort of "director" of the Shadow Council.

I remember watching "Coupling" and all the guys loved her. Just watched Logan's Run again and she was very attractive. Not the typical woman you would find on American TV at the time. Surprised that Teabag has not posted any pictures of her. Is Teabag slipping? :)

@Tea You have been tagged as a Perverted Weirdo. Seems redundant or at least redundant. I saw Ms. Agutter's home page and she has a nice picture gallery. I need to run back and watch American Werewolf in London again. Good film

It would be beyond awesome if Sony let Spidey have a cameo... But I'm going to guess taht as just a mistake in the article or she meant another hero.

maaannn...she looks sooo OLD..!!! to think i used to umm- well, y'know... to her nakedness (mostly in American Werewolf in London)...wow! time does go super fast.

anyway...with her being british and all..i wonder if she turns out to be the OLD Peggy Carter (having been injected some kind of serum to super slow down her aging, thus she still remains on active duty).

it'll be cool (and very weird..intriguingly weird) to see a scene where she introduces Steve (Evans) to her niece, Sharon, (supposedly played by Amanda Righetti).
