Total Recall is an action thriller about reality and memory, inspired anew by the famous short story "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick. Welcome to Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), even though he's got a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale) whom he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life - real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston) – there is no one Quaid can trust, except possibly a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) working for the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy). The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate. The film is directed by Len Wiseman. The screenplay is by Kurt Wimmer and Mark Bomback and the screen story is by Ronald Shusett & Dan O'Bannon and Jon Povill. The producers are Neal H. Moritz and Toby Jaffe.

Total Recall is set to hit theatres on August 3, 2012.

Just because it worked with Sulu doesn't mean Harold and Kumaar will be believable in every role. Movie looks awesome everywhere else though.

I watched this all the time backinaday.

I've heard it's not set on Mars like the original....i'm getting a futuristic 'Bourne Identity' vibe. Not feeling much for this movie atm....though to be honest, i've never been excited about remakes.

@NeoBaggins.....why you talking about "SULU" and "HAROLD AND KUMAR"? What's the relevance?

@elessarundomiel2382 The actor in this trailer who is accommodating Collin Farrel's character with his fantasy plays the character Sulu in Star Trek and also stars in Harold in Kummar. He appears to work well in those films but looks and sounds a bit out of place here.

Hope that clears things up for you.

Jessica Biel has one of the greatest booty in modern Hollywood, a fine refreshment from all those skinny, underfed starlets that town keeps producing. I'd watch this movie just to perv on that booty!

@Ceejay Jessica Biel is smoking hot. Lots of crack smoking goin on on this site. People think big-headed and shapless Cobie Smulders is super hot when she's far, far away from it.

@ Bastard, yeah it really reminds me of minority reports (and that is a very good one). But I hope not that this movie will be bad as that other movie you mentioned. I think it was the worst movie with keanu reeves.

The problem is that is will be compared to the original which was only titled after the Philip K. Dick story and bore little resemblance to the actual story line, which he never went to Mars.

This one is supposed to follow the book more closely yet most people care less for those type of things in these matters.

Yep, T&A can only go so far, Biel can't act and I have never been a Colin Farrell fan.

They should have done a re-working with Beckinsale as a female main character instead of just re-making the same story again with CGI. At least that would have been a new angle.
