FANTASTIC FOUR Rumor May Reveal Major Reed Richards & Sue Storm Plot Point - Possible SPOILERS

We have a very interesting new rumor relating to the status of Reed Richards and Sue Storm in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, but be wary of potentially major spoilers...

Earlier tonight, Deadline's Justin Kroll Tweeted that Marvel Studios is set to "gear up" the casting process for Matt Shakman's Fantastic Four reboot this month, and Sue Storm is expected to be the first role filled.

Now, we have a very interesting update courtesy of the latest episode of The Hot Mic podcast.

Jeff Sneider shared an image of Irish actress Saoirse Ronan shortly after Kroll's Tweet, which led to speculation that she may be in the running to play Invisible Woman. Then, during the podcast, Sneider clarified that Ronan probably isn't in contention, as they're casting her character and Mr. Fantastic a little older.

Why? Well, apparently Reed and Sue are already going to be parents when we meet them in the movie!

If you're a comic book reader, you'll likely have an idea of what kind of ramifications this could have for the MCU going forward. If accurate, either Franklin - a reality-warper and one of the most powerful beings in the universe - or Valeria - who is potentially even smarter than her father - (or both) will be introduced in the film.

Both of these characters were integral to some huge Marvel Comics events, such as Dark Reign and the Multiversal Collapse, and could play major roles in the build-up to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars

This is obviously just speculation, but if Marvel Studios is ageing-up these characters to make them parents, you can bet it's with good reason.

What do you guys make of this development? Be sure to share your thoughts down below. Fantastic Four is currently set to hit theaters in 2025.

Making me think of @Waddles with this gif. Hope he’s doing well, wherever he is.

@DTor91

I haven’t seen Doctor’s comments for the last year and a half. Think he blocked me at some point and his comments disappeared altogether.

Spock has been afk, too.

If that's the case, please for the love of God, get John Krasinski back. Also Thank god, I really didn't want them to do a still learning Fantastic Four. I love the idea of them doing an established team.

@BGarlz92 - I feel like they should save the still learning team angle until they do the X-Men. Like the FF will probably be in there late 30s - mid 40s and the X-Men will be in there late 20s - mid 30s.

@BGarlz92 - what’s the obsession with the JK casting? I mean he was okay and all but I’ve never seen him as the end all be all Reed Richards

@DudeGuy - I personally enjoyed him in MOM, it convinced me he was right for it. But the truth is, the audience has already seen him, and yeah I get it, he was a variant, but we've already seen him and it's not hard to just move him over. On top of that, it would be super weird if he was the only variant that doesn't also exist in The MCU-616.

@FilmGuy7878 - I think that works better for X-Men, but also if they need to do an FF origin story or showing them on the learning curve, they can just do a Disney + show, and allow it to be selectively canon.
