This New Poster For THE DARK TOWER Finds The Gunslinger Standing Side-By-Side With The Man In Black

Though these two certainly won't be this close to one another without violence ensuing in the actual movie, for the purposes of this new poster for Sony Pictures' adaptation of The Dark Tower, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba) and the enigmatic Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey) are standing side-by-side.

The first trailer for the film was met with somewhat of a lukewarm response, as fans of the novels did not seem best pleased about some of the apparent changes to the source material. However, we should be getting another teaser very soon, so hopefully that will go down a little better.

The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black, determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.

The Dark Tower is set to be released in the U.S. on August 4, followed by the UK on August 18.

Looking forward to this. Been a huge fan of the novels and the trailer looked decent enough.
