This from THR.com:

"I have not met with del Toro. We don't have any near future plan. I don't know if something got misconstrued or miscommunicated but the source was not accurate at all."

He added: "I love Guillermo del Toro and Peter Jackson, and I certainly wouldn't take myself out of the conversation ... if I was part of it. But I haven't read a script or talked to anybody about it."

Latinoreview.com has a bit of retracting to do. Will they do it? No, probably not.

The writing was on the wall in the form of scheduling for this rumor. 'The Hobbit' is scheduled to start filming in May, as 'Spider-Man 4' is scheduled to start filming in March. No can do.

i like toby maguire, but i couldnt picture him playin bilbo...or any other part in the hobbit

you know whats funny? malcovich and anne hathaway have not denied they are in spiderman 4,now thats scary.i dont think i will be seeing the next one unless lizard is in it.

Yeah, I'll take a Hobbit movie over a Dr. Strange movie any day.......for that matter I'll take a Hobbit movie over most other movies. :)
