Tobey was recently taking questions while promoting the film BROTHERS at the Four Seasons in New York. Tobey was asked which director he would like to work with in the future?

Hmm, what does that mean? It wouldn't be the worst choice. But does Tobey look like Elijah's uncle? Let the speculation begin!

Just yesterday Latinoreview broke the Tobey/Hobbit rumor only to wake up today to find out that Tobey Maguire's publicist has shot all this hoopla down. If you were hoping for this info to be a planted rumor then it's a brand new day for you! If you really wanted Tobey to be Bilbo then sorry about your luck, however, AICN reports that the two parties are at least talking. So really, like the Hobbit news of the past year, who knows?

i like all 3 spiderman films, but naaa, i dont like the idea of him playing bilbo, he looks nothing like the guy who played bilbo in LOTR ( i forget his name).

they should get someone else, this will suck if he does it.

Here's someone that no one though of... I don't know how much serious acting experience he has, but I could see Simon Helberg, Wolowitz from Big Bang Theory as Bilbo. He's a smaller guy with a small build, and could definitely bring the levity to the part. Especially when the dwarves come to Bag End. It would be hilarious!! Whatcha think??

@Nemesys, i am extremely iffy about Simon playing Bilbo. He can do comedy, sure. but can he pull off the dramatic bits like at the Battle of the Five Armies?

Eh...not sure on this one. He's a good actor if given the right role (check out my review for "Brothers"), but I just don't see this one.
