Speaking to
MTV, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (
Crank), talk about the famous scene in the trailer in which Nic Cage's Johnny Blaze wees fire. They make it clear that the shot wasn't just a gimmick for the trailer, and will be used in the film at some point. Neveldine jokingly says that Cage could actually pee fire, and that little CGI was included in the shot.
The directors also comment on the hellish vehicles that Ghost Rider will ride in the film, saying that anything the character rides will become hellified, including a strip miner that rips through mountains.
On seeing Johnny Blaze pee fire in Spirit Of Vengeance... It's in the movie and that's all we can tell you.
On the weapons that Ghost Rider will use in the film... In this movie, anything he rides becomes hellified and turns into sort of a weapon. It's not just the Hellcycle. There are a lot of things he gets on and hellifies. Among the vehicles Blaze will hellify is a 700-foot strip miner … that actually rips through mountains. It's always good to have one of those on fire.
