With just less than a month away from it's anticipated debut, marketing for The CW's Arrow is in full swing including promotional posters showing up all over L.A. Now, they have released a new clip from the pilot featuring Oliver Queen's alter-ego taking down the bodyguards of Adam Hunt as he makes an incredibly expensive demand. I like it but im not so sure how i feel about the no mask thing. Even with the shadow from the hood when you get that close to an enemy its very easy to see your face.

Reminds me of the scene in batman begins when batman first appears and takes down falcone's henchmen. LOVING how this looks.

@theantigrif I am with u on that one he is a celebrity in his town with out a mask some one would be able to figure out who it is pretty easy kinda sad they aren't using a mask or the wicked awesome mustache lol

wow, that looked really stupid. Like, they were trying to copy the scene from BB when Batman first shows up, but don't have the skill to pull it off properly.

Like I said, this is just going to be a shitty TDK wannabe series.

I like it a bit more with this clip. Seems almost as if they are mixing a Green Arrow type deal with a Batman begins-ish origin, but different. He looks the part, or better cuz he's Ripped too. I'm on board.

BTW does anyone know if they could possibly have a Cameo part for the character Of Tom Welling IN Smallville? As Superman or Clark Kent in a suit would be tiiight.

They'll run out of BB material in the first few episodes. Then we will see what the show can do.

It's not green arrow anymore. It's f*cking batman rip-off...ollie never did something like that. He never threatens people in that particular way, never ever.

This is [frick]ing stupid. This damn scene. I agree with everyone, it's an exact ripoff of the scene when Batman first shows up and then ends with him placing the mob boss on the dang bat-signal.

And dang, after watching both this AND the Batman Begins scene, even the damn part where Falcone is told to stay in the car, just like the douchebag in the Arrow clip was also told to stay in the car. And then Batman broke the car open to get Falcone while "Arrow" broke open the car window to get that one evil douchebag.

And I don't see their point about not putting Deadshot in his comicbook outfit because it wasn't realistic enough. So like...a criminal wearing a mask, isn't realistic?

If I committed crimes, I'd certainly wear a mask to hide my identity. They'll probably make Deadshot into some lame street-level thug with no mask, no suit or at least bullet-proof padding of any kind and he'll only sport that nifty red eye piece.

Something like this would be fine. If they really wanted to get rid of his suit, just keep him with the mask (or at least SOME variation of it) and keep him in regular clothes. But I will have a really tough time looking at Rowe as Deadshot when he probably won't even resemble the character at all. It'll probably be better than Smallville's lame version but that really isn't saying much.

@Splenda- I'm not worried about Deathstroke, he probably won't even appear physically, it's just his mask.

Smallville screwed up both Deathstroke AND Deadshot. Deathstroke was John McCain with a [frick]ing eyepatch. Deadshot was a cowboy hick

So I'm guessing nobody has ever seen a masked vigilante take down some goons and give the boss an ultimatum before Batman did it in BB? That scene is in almost every comic book i have ever read. It's a right of passage for any super hero. Get over it people.

Yea it reminds me of Batman Begins scene but hey it's DC Comics & I luv it! Batman & Green Arrow are similar in some ways & have much respect for each other besides their Justice League!
