Green Lantern Project in the Works

With the furor surrounding the current JLA project you would imagine no one would want to touch any DC property with a 10-foot pole. But not so, according to Greg Berlanti, who is looking to a Green Lantern film.

The TV genius behind Dirty Sexy Money, Brothers and Sisters and Eli Stone, Greg Berlanti, is apparently currently penning a script for a live-action Green Lantern film. Berlanti is set to direct for WB, and if his current successes don’t inspire you, take to heart that he is himself a self confessed comic book geek.

With Jon Stewart set to be the Green Lantern for the Justice League film, being portrayed by rapper Common, it’s an open book as to who will star in Berlanti’s film. But with the recent release of The New Frontier, Hal Jordan – the original and the best GL – has probably got the best hand.

Either way, I’m looking forward to what could very well be one of the better DC/WB films; if they do it right. In other words, lots of Green Lanterns, the GL Corp, and lots of space battles.
