Here are a few excerpts from the interview conducted by Italian website, Comicus. Be sure to follow the link at the bottom of the page to read more!

In Green Lantern you don't play a character in person, but you give him your voice. In this case what kind of instruction did you get from the director?

Martin had me working physically in the space. Instead of working a static mic, he had me moving from one to another.

Being a director yourself, how do you judge Martin Campbell's work?

I think Martin is one of the best directors working today. I’m one of those Directors that come to work with a shot-list and my whole day planned, so I tend to favor Directors that show up in the morning knowing what they want.
As an actor I am Old-school, meaning that for me, the director is the Boss. I have to trust that he has the story in his head. From the second I met Martin in the parking lot at Warner Brothers, I knew that he both knew what he wanted and knew exactly what he was doing.

Did you already know G'Hu's character? How did you prepare yourself for the part?

I studied the History of the Lantern Corp. G’Hu at his foundation is a Soldier, so I started there. Since I approach all Role- preparation the same way, I had to find him physically as well. Whether or not I am seen or heard, real is real and my goal is always to bring a living breathing character to the story. I studied all the available images of Gh’u and was eventually able to “fill” the character. In the case of Gh’u I found the character in my fingers.

Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17, later this year!

They're frightened. They didn't expect Thor to look so good in the trailer. I'm sure they went back to the drawing board and started from scratch on what they are gonna show in the next trailer.

Whats with the impatience?! How about letting them actually finish the movie before showing it to us?
Jeebus, you guys should have grown up in the 70's and 80's,maybe then you'd be grateful for what you get. It's not a bloody race or competition.Wait for them to do things in their own time, without rushing, then enjoy each movie for what it is.You sound like greedy 2 year olds.

Well the trailer comes out with Sucker Punch so we have to wait till next month. I don't mind though; as long as they finalise the CGI.

Finally that's confirmed. Now who will voice Kilowog? Or Tomar-Re? I can see Kevin Michael Richardson voicing Kilowog, but I don't know. Possibly Corey Burton for Tomar-Re.

An article came out the other day w/ the rumor Dennis Haysbert (24/The Unit/Allstate commercials) was voicing Kilowog and John Laroquette (Night Court) is Tomar-Re

Total rumor tho at this point...I was actually hopin for some slightly bigger names. o well, if its true, I'm sure they'll be great. I mean John Laroquette?? wtf?? thats so left field

Prob total BS, who knows

To the impatient crowd... do you honestly think that after the initial reaction the teaser got that they are going to rush out another unpolished trailer?!
I'm sure by now that the people at WB are full aware that the teaser was not well received and are giving themselves the time needed to at the very least put out something that works.
Like Dynamo said, the trailer comes out with sucker punch. Patience is a virtue.

What's with all this "they're just afraid of Thor" nonsense? Are you guys 14? Thor looks really boring, and why isn't anyone pointing out how horrible the CGI looked at the end of the trailer it looked like Thor was floating in front of a cartoon. Marvel made two halfway decent movies with Iron Man and Hulk, dropped the ball with Iron Man 2 and hasn't really shown us anything to get excited about but you guys are going into every Green Lantern article and crying up a storm.

@marvel-The second trailer comes out March 25th with Sucker Punch as it's been stated over and over and over and over again. Green Lantern comes out one month and 11 days after Thor. The second trailer debuts a month and 8 days after the second Thor trailer. They're on schedule. While Captain America hasn't had a first trailer yet, and it comes out in 5 months. You can't keep criticizing DC for only having released 2 and a half minutes of footage within 8 months of the film's release when Marvel only released 30 seconds within 5 months.

Unbelievable. You nerds [female dog] and cry about the Green Lantern trailer every five minutes... then you [female dog] and cry when WB doesn't slap together another trailer and rush it out. As Roscoe pointed out, they are still perfectly on schedule.

I like how people claim the CG was bad in the first GL trailer. All the CG was great except the suit at the end.
Then a new Thor trailer comes out months later with incomplete CG that is worse than the GL trailer at the point they are at now, and no one complains about it. The fake cheetah dog at the end CG was horrible for them to be at this point in the production of the movie. The only CG that looked good was the destroyer when they first showed him. After he started to move and light on fire it got worse by the second.

Can't wait to get more info on GL about the voice actors. Would love to hear some Sinestro dialogue in the next trailer. If they show the same amount of action like the first trailer, watch how majority will call the trailer bad.

I don't understand why people hate the Green Lantern trailer because it has lighthearted moments and unfinished CGI, but when the 2nd Thor trailer has them it's okay. What's with all the hypocrisy going on with the marvel crowd?

"Because the Thor humor was good. That why."
That's subjective dude. I chuckled at the humor in both trailers.
Have to admit, when Thor threw the coffee cup down and yelled "another", that was funny.

The Thor trailers look awful, nothing compared to the Green Lantern trailer.

Seriously. It looks like most of the movie is Thor running around Earth without his powers, while in the midst of a glamorized romantic comedy with some action scenes.

Anyway, this is great. they are letting us know the actors are taking the roles seriously and want to do it justice.

And the merchandise looks good too. I do want a second GL trailer, but I'm patient enough to wait.

Marvel hasn't made any good movies other than: Iron Man, X2 and Spiderman 2. (3)

Marvel flops have been: Dare Devil, Elektra, Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four 2, Hulk, Ghost Rider, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Punisher: War Zone. (8)

I fully expect X-Men: First Class to suck (my opinion).

DC has made better more mature quality films such as: Richard Donner's Superman (1978) and Superman 2, Batman (1989), Road to Perdition(Tom Hanks), A History of Violence(Viggo Mortensen), Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, V for Vendetta and to a lesser extent Watchmen. (9)

The DC flops are: Catwoman, Batman & Robin, Steel(1997 Shaquille O'Neal),The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen The Spirit and Jonah Hex. (6)

So DC has produced 9 winners and 6 losers. Marvel has produced 3 winners and 8 losers.

Movies that have done well like Superman Returns and X3 shouldn't count for anything. Like Marvel's Spiderman 1&3 or DC's Batman Forever they aren't worth the after thought. Even the Incredible Hulk2 shouldn't be recognized it was boring until he fought Abomination at the end. It's only because of The Avengers that we care about Hulk.

But lets say we added up all those forgettable movies that did well at the box office.

Marvel made Spiderman 1&3, X3, Incredible Hulk, The Punisher and Iron Man 2. DC made Superman Returns.

So that's 14 losers for Marvel and 3 winners. 7 losers for DC and 9 winners.

It appears to me that DC has a much better record thus far.

@TheMan 2099
I concur.Although I like both publishers it is a fallacy to believe that Marvel has the lead in movies.Either way it doesn't matter as long as we get some quality from both.
Here's a post I made a while back that fits well with yours I think:
I'm sick of hearing retarded Marvel fanboys claiming their movies are somehow more successful than DC's output. Here are the facts:

Marvel Studios 3 released movies to date vs DC's last 3 movies...

Ironman:$571,827,600 worldwide

Ironman2:$616.757,433 ww

Incredible Hulk:$252,218,390 ww

Marvel total:$1,442,803,423 ww

Batman Begins:$352,000,000 ww

TDK:$1,001,921,825 ww

Superman Returns:$389,569,408 ww

DC total:1,743,491,233

And that doesn't include:

V for Vendetta:$132,511,035 ww

Watchmen:$185,258,983 ww

as well as Constantine and other DC owned properties or the old Superman and Batman movies.

So how can anyone claim that Marvel is leading this bullshit cinema race?!?!?

The Dark Knight alone nearly took as much as Marvels two most successful movies,Ironman 1&2!

Can we please put this argument to bed now?!

I love all those movies btw so I'm not being partisan.I'm just trying to stop all the bullshit about Marvel kicking arse in theaters. They're not. They simply put out more movies closer together.DC has been making hit comicbook movies since 1977 :)

Yeah, even after you crunch the numbers DC comes out on top.

Also, Marvel has a history of ripping off DC. Like, those Spiderman movies and the Daily Bugel (Daily Planet).

Now I don't dislike Marvel or their movies, I've watched everyone of them. I saw dare Devil the extended version and really like that one. But I'm a DC fan through and through. Sure DC is more Sci-Fi then the latter, but shows like Smallville really have a lot of depth and Character building. I think to be able to make a good movie with these characters there are some holes that have to be filled in and these characters like Smallville's Cloie fits nicely. Not all superhero's have built in Mr. Foxes like Batman does. Batman does so well because they keep in grounded in more reality then a lot of others. Recently, I've become a big fan of Smallville, though. Just in the last few weeks when I sat down and began watching some early episodes back to back I thought, woh this is what XMEN needs. The fact is with all these Superheroes there is a process involved. I like following all these movies because I like watching the evolution of the characters and the development that it takes to make a good story out of them. At this point after 10 years, I think I've pretty much narrowed down which ones can do well and which ones can't. Spiderman was part of the next generation of Superhero movies and I was excited about that, but in hindsight the Spiderman movies stole a lot from The 1978 Superman movies. And then of course you can point to all the other similarities as well, such as, how he works for a newspaper and takes pictures like Jimmy Olsen or how he is a lot like Superboy and how Mary Jane is similar to Lana Lang. Jonah Jamison is like Perry White and Normon Oswald is just like Lex Luthor and Venom is like Bizzaro. And on and on. Even his Aunt and Uncle are like Ma and Pa Kent. Jonathan Kent dies with Superman holding him at the farm and Uncle Ben dies with Peter Parker shot in the chest. In both movies Uncle Ben and Jonathan Kent tell Spiderman and Superman, "With great power comes great responsibility". I don't like stuff like that, ya know. I look at it as a spit in the face. And just remember Captain Marvel. Marvel tried to rip off Superman all the way back then too!
ChrisW
ChrisW - 2/19/2011, 9:03 AM
I think Superheroes are gonna lead us into the 21st century of story telling on an Epic scale and will bring us more Star Wars films. This whole ripping each other off thing is prevalent in music and in the Epic movie drama as well. Before Star Wars we had Green Lantern, Lord of The Rings and Star Trek all of which were ripped off by George Lucus. Someday, either they set the formula for guys like Superman and Spiderman and get it right or they make an entirely new superhero like Star Wars. It's coming and I want to see where it goes. This is what fascinates me the most about all this, not so much the box office numbers.
