Several days ago, it was revealed that the comic book character Krona will be featured in the Green Lantern movie. According to DC comic canon, Krona's selfish actions are what caused the creation of the "multiverse;" or, parallel universes. Many fans began to wonder whether the inclusion of Krona into the film's story would lead to a similar explanation of DC's movie-verse; and thus, tie their superhero properties together.

Want to know more? Simply highlight the text below...

MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!

- Krona becomes the first "host" to Parallax, by way of the Yellow Power Battery. This takes place as a prologue of the film.

- Parallax doesn't just feed off of fear, it rips the souls out of it's victims; leaving dried "husks" of the corpses.

- Parallax/Krona attacks Abin Sur's ship, which causes him to crash land on Earth and die.

- While performing an autopsy on the corpse of Abin Sur, Hector Hammond becomes infected by a fragment of Parallax which causes him to gain exponential telepathic and telekinetic powers.

- Hammond attacks Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris (whom he harbors feelings towards) at the Ferris airfield hanger, a similar scene to the one in the Green Lantern Secret Origins comic; the difference being that Hammond wants Hal's Green Lantern ring.

- Hammond is ultimately killed by Parallax, who absorbs his soul in the manner mentioned above.

- Parallax fights Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris on Earth. The fight is unevenly matched until other members of the Green Lantern Corps arrive.

So they are keeping this earth based? Not liking that. Also not even close to GL true origin story. I'd have much preferred Sinestro as the villain. Well if this is what WB is putting on the Big Screen, I won't feel bad about boycotting it for them keeping Ryan Reynolds from doing Deadpool.

CPBuff22@ Yea I'm in agreement with you when it comes to the fact that they are totally changing up the origin. I was actually hoping that they'd use Parallax maybe for a GL film down the road for when he takes over Hal's body/Kyle Rayner becoming the new GL but we'll see what happens.

Erickz, just out of curiosity, do you read or have read Green Lanter? The origin isn't his birth lol, it is him becoming a Space Cop, emphasis on the Space. I don't have a porblem with the beginings of the story taking place on Earth, but we need a lot of OA and space.

awesome find @Poni!!!!!
this film may just be DC's biggest film EVER!!!!!

as for those who worry that the film will be Earth based:
articles have already been posted on this site depicting the production design of Oa and the Guardians.
this will be an epic space opera probably on par with Star Wars. but yes there will be a major fraction of Earth footage seeing as how Hal Jordan is from EARTH and all.....
not to mention that the major characters already casted are humans so i'm expecting at least a third of the film to be set on Earth.

**MAJOR SPOILERS ALERT!!!!**Be Careful**

WOO...Did not think about that possibility. My heart stopped for a bit there while reading about Parallax-Krona attacking Abin's ship. I'm currently imagining the epic space-chase scene, and the hurry to find Hal Jordan before Parallax arrives to terrorize earth.

This is a very clever way of 'adapting' a comic book to a movie. It's going to be very interesting if true. And to all you crybabies threatening to boycott GL because of the issue with Deadpool, keep dreaming. Green Lantern FOREVER!

Although it says Abin Surs ship is attacked, I hope they answer the question of why he'd be flying it to begin with.

Other than that, Great find!

@JLU51306 it's not a must that they tell why he's flying it. We didn't find out until Johns retconned the whole origin story with Atrocitus.
